Werckmeister	3.4 Medl-Bräu Gemischtes 0,3l from tap at the brewpub. Brown color, small off white head. Smells spices, peppery, bit buttery, tobacco. OK smell. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tastes earthy, peppery, bit buttery, tobacco, light Cola, hints of sweetness, spices, light marzipan. Finishes lightly bitter with notes tobacco, marzipan and earthy notes. Werckmeister	3.4 Medl-Bräu Märzen 0,3l from tap at the brewpub. Amber hazy color, small white head. Smells earthy, peppers, doughy, tobacco. Nice smell. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tastes earthy, peppery, not bready, tobacco, light buttery, light marzipan. Finishes very subtle bitter/sweet with lots of tobacco, earthy and marzipan notes. Saturday, June 6, 2020

Goldbarren	3.2 Medl-Bräu Märzen Dass man in Österreich meist ein Helles bekommt, wenn man ein Märzen bestellt ist bekannt. Hier wurde tatsächlich ein Märzen nach bayrischen Vorbild gebraut. Bräunlich und leicht malzig geht es schon als Festbier durch. Es mag auch hier bessere geben, aber dieses ist sicher vorne dabei. Thursday, December 13, 2018
Goldbarren	2.9 Medl-Bräu Gemischtes Eine 50:50-Mischung aus Hellem und Dunklem. Da beide Biere zwar gut, aber eben nix besonderes sind, so ist auch das Gemischte eher normal. Nicht schlecht mit netten Aromen aus beiden Bieren, aber nicht wirklich rekordverdächtig. Thursday, December 13, 2018
Goldbarren	2.9 Medl-Bräu Dunkles getrunken im Sommer 2012, als ich eine Wohnung ums Eck bewohnte Ein klassisches österreichisches Dunkles (wenn es so etwas gibt). Es hat eine vollmundigen, malzbasierten Körper, der das Bier recht süß macht. Hinten raus kommt ein bisschen der Hopfen durch un erlaubt einen frischen Abgang. Goldbarren	3.2 Medl-Bräu Helles Das Standard-Bier dieser kleinen wiener Hausbrauerei. Ein typisches süffiges Bier mit leicht buttrigen Stich, das aber sehhr gut ist. Die Brauerei hat eine interessante Geschichte: So erfüllte sich jemand hier mit einem Lottogewinn seinen Lebenstraum erfüllt und wurde zum Braumeister. Dazu wurde ein Restaurant im Buschenschankenstil eröffnet. Thursday, December 13, 2018

Full body, pearly carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes bready, earthy, ripe fruits, spices, peppery, doughy. Finishes rather balanced with notes of bread, earthy and some ripe fruit notes. Medium body, very soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes of bread, spices, grassy, earthy, lightly buttery, lightly grainy. Finishes dry and lightly bitter with notes of grass, spices and bready notes. Quite nice one, nice taste and smell, only the aftertaste is a bit too light, good one overall Tuesday, September 18, 2018

Aroma of banana, vanilla, bread, spices, some orange, some dried fruits. Tastes pretty similar Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a quite fizzy carbonation. Finishes medium spicy, moderate sweet, bready, fruity, a bit floral, with banana, slight vanilla. Very nice. Smooth, clean and greatly balanced throughout, with sweet and spicy notes really harmonic. Also the right levels of full body and freshness. Very solid, classic example of the style. Saturday, May 13, 2017

Full taste of toast, cocoa, dark bread, dark fruits, some caramel, even subtle coffee. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation. Finishes medium roasty, toasty, bready, a bit sweet, fruity, a bit hoppy. Really nice. Full bodied, aromatic and well balanced, with lovely toasty and dark fruit notes and just enough sweetness and roastiness. Pretty above average Dunkles for Austrian means, very quaffable stuff. Tastes quite similar, with some more honey. Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation. Finishes grassy, floral, a bit grainy, a bit sweet. Good. Straight and fresh, pretty quaffable.
