Really fresh fruity hoppy aroma. The flavor is maltiness with some honey sweetness and mild fruitiness. Reminds me of the beers from Plevna (a brewery in my home town). A really nice surprise. bartlebier	3.4 Martin’s Bräu / Braukollektiv Cream Ale (Anfang AUG18) Draught glass after MB Pils, rounds with KyotoLefty. - - In a way a mirror image of last year's Freiburgsch Kölsch collab, substituting Spitzmalz for corn and double-barreling top- & bottom-fermenting yeasts to keep that typical Martin's Bräu malt sweetness at bay. Result has a certain density that in the few other cream ales I've tasted tended to be more crisp and lighhearted. There is a pleasant layeredness to the yeast&malt SW-Hausbrauerei sweetness and good familiar EU bitterness to keep it drinkable. Otherwise, trying this back-to-back with a 0,5L of bittersweet, Tettnang-driven naturtrübes Hauspils, I'd have to say they are pretty close. Thursday, August 30, 2018

AssKicker	1.7 Martin’s Bräu Hefe Weizen Bue à la pression à la brasserie. Couleur ambrée trèèès trouble, mousse faiblarde. Au nez ça paraît d’abord épicé, puis surtout très levuré. En bouche en revanche, c’est la levure qui fait massivement acte de présence avec pas grand chose d’autre en renfort. bartlebier	3.6 Martin’s Bräu / Braukollektiv Freiburgsch Tap at Martin’s Bräu, Mai2017. - A long-due homebrew favourite gone Mai seasonal on quickly depleted Martin’s Bräu Tap: this Wieß-Kölsch that double-dare not speak its name, ergo Freiburgsch. Appropriately served in a minimug rather than a 0,2L Stange. - Luminous hay yellow pour with an appetising buttermilk cloud suspended in it. Aroma of fresh wet hay, melissa and dried lemon peel along with a subtle helping of yeasty dairy proteins. Slick, aromatic and easygoing green bitterness with some citrus pith and grasses (nettle, melissa) in well-tacted accord with a biscuit&hay body, slightly slick with again some unfiltered yeast proteins and with an underlying cake sweetness that seems to come with the terroir (soft Schwarzwald water?). DE or US Cascades? - Nice stab at the style which I am very partial to, even though the Ehrenfelder Braustelle Helios remains unsurpassed in this regard in terms of modest Gasthaus Hausbier. Blueshawk	3.1 Martin’s Bräu Pils - trübes Zitronengelb mit guter, anhaltender Schaumbildung - zarte Aromen nach Citrus, Hopfen und gut dosierter Säure - etwas zu sprudelige Carbonisierung - genau diese Kohlensäure stört zuerst etwas im Antrunk - der Vorteil ist, man gewöhnt sich relativ schnell daran - die feine und ausgewogene Herbe hat von Anfang an das Sagen - einzig die Citrusnote kann da bedingt, aber gezielt unterstützend mithalten - der Körper bleibt über den ganzen Verlauf angenehm schlank, ohne je ins Wässrige zu kippen - der Abgang prickelt schlussendlich noch etwas herb-zitronig nach Sunday, October 23, 2016
