On tap at Magister, several times before they ran out of bussines (it´s been "closed for vacations" for many months...). Caramel and sicy aromas. Pours dark copper,with thin white head, non persistent, some lacework. Medium body and average carbonation. Malty, caramel and toast flavours. Short aftertaste, sweet. Tasty, but maybe a bit watered down.

On tap at the nowadays closed brewpub. Hazy golden beer with a good formation of white head, moerate duration. Aroma is spicy, strong alcoholic, malty. Flavour is moderate malty, bready, dense on palate, sweet at the beginning and a final strong and alcoholic with an average duration. Body is high. Carbonation is medium. Texture is oily.

On tap at the brewpub. Amber colour with a frothy off-white head, good lasting. Aroma is alcoholic, yeasty and with hints of citrus. Flavour is also alcoholic, sweet and brown sugar. In the final results bittery on the palate. Average carbonation with medium to full body. Oily feel.

Yellow golden color, good head, discreet fizzy aspect. Limpid and clear. Slightly herbaceous aroma with notes of cereals, maize, alcohol. Medium bitter taste, perhaps a lot too much watery.

Draught. Black colour, short head. Mild roasty malty sweet caramel aroma. Good mouthfeel. Soft sweet roasty malty and caramel flavour with a little smoky touch and a pleasant though rather mild bitterness. Roasty sweet finish. Rather thin stout.

Draught. Clear golden with short white head. Sweetish malty strange yeasty frutiness in the aroma reminding me a bit of a cider.... hmm infection.. Fair mouthfeel. The flavour has a mild sweetness with yeast, a light bitterness, some strange fruitiness and a light bitter finish. Drinkable "pilsener" beer with a mild infection.

Pours a hazy golden color with a two finger head. Sweet hops and fruit on the nose. Taste has quite a bit of hops combined with just a hint of sweet citrus. The body is heavey for the style, but this is still a quite drinkable beer. Not your typical "tastes like Becks" Spanish beer.

Draught at the brewpub Hazy muddy brown body. Off-white creamy head with an excellent lace. Aroma has some hops, smoke, orange, lemon, grapefruit. Not the aroma one would expect from a beer like this. Lightly bitter flavour, not so intense and even somewhat watery. The aroma was interesting, the flavour not that much.

Keg at magister, october 07. Opaque black color with a creamy, medium sized cremé head. Buttery, slightly toasted aroma. Toasty malts flavor plus some irish yeastiness with some slight coffee notes at the end. Nice. Creamy, silky motufeel. Filling, pleasant and moreish. Can´t discern if it´s on nitro. Nice, creamy, filling stout.

Keg at Magister, october 07. Turbid, copper orange color with a small white rim. Almost non existant aroma, some slight fruity notes. Flavor is sweet but bland, too rough and unrefined with some alcohol notes. Medium mouthfeel, the best of this beer. Some chewy malts. Forgettable, bad crafted amber turbid lager.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours deep brown with a little dense off-white head. Very minor caramel malt aroma. Flavour holds a soft caramel malt flavour, this clearly is toasted rather than roasted :). Ends with a mild bitterness. Again not much going on here, but has some more to offer compared to the blond.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Almost no aroma, has a minor citric note with a mild maltyness beneath. Carbonated mouthfeel. Flavour is soft malty with a slight citric twist. Overall a very strange non aromatic and non flavourful brew. Not bad, just without anything.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours amber brown with a dense off white head. Brett citric aroma. Flavour is a lovely blend of sweet malt and brett flavours. I honestly assume this is as intended, it really tastes great. Finish holds a soft caramel sweetness providing a nice smoothness to the brett flavours. The is a hint of liqourice in the far finish. Unconventional but works nicely.

On tap at Magister. Poured a deeper smoky caramel with a creamy cap of off-white head. Lightly-toasted caramel and toffee notes in the aroma (as advertised) with light herbal accents.. simple and somewhat enjoyable. The flavor was of lightly-toasted caramel and sweet fruity sugars with light hints of herbal and citrusy bitterness.. long-ish sweet finish. Lighter-bodied with a creamy middle and mild bitterness.

On tap at Magister. Poured a hazy, deeper golden with a creamy cap of white head. Aroma was of dusty and bready notes with hints of lemon zest.. some grass came through as well. This was quite tasty with a bready malt base and accents of lemon tartness and light fruits.. short-medium finish with the fruit carrying through. Almost medium-bodied and grainy on the palate.. enjoyed the tart accents. Nice one!

On tap at Magister. Poured a medium coppery amber with a short creamy white head. Aroma was quite nice with deep, lightly-smoked fruits (odd note of banana Pixy Stix comes to mind, and I don’t think that was even a flavor... but it was strangely arousing).. very sweet with zero alcohol apparent. The flavor was really, really sweet.. light and dark fruity sugars with some caramel.. lightly-toasted with a warm, sweet finish.. mild bitterness. The sweetness did manage to mask the booze well.. bit of a syrupy feel on the palate. I could drink it again, but probably wouldn’t.

On tap at Magister... though this was more of a Dunkel. Poured very deep brown with a short cap of beige head. Aroma was of sweet, lightly-toasted caramel along with cola and sweet chocolates. Flavor was of dry, sweeter chocolates and toasted caramel at the core (more caramel with warmth).. not exciting, but somewhat tasty. Cola-like feel on the palate, but with lower carbonation.. lighter-bodied with a sweet chocolatey finish. Decent.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear and nearly black, with a lacy off white head. Aroma was dominated by sweet notes, lactose, burned toffee, chocolate and a light spicy hop... very complex and inviting. Flavour is really smooth, moderately bitter and shows more lactose sweetness, as well as caramel and coffee. Sweet rounded finish. A great stout.

On tap, sign on the wall says it’s the strongest beer brewed in Spain. Grapefruit aroma, burnt copper color with an off-white head. Roasted coffee and malty flavors. The aftertaste was definitely grapefruity. It was a good beer, but I wonder if it was aged enough.

First pour of a brand new batch, on tap. The aroma was weak, but I don’t think I should penalize it for that. The color was a muddy brown, with a beige head, and that’s after I let it settle for a while. Depending on how you translate it, tostada can mean toasted, and they aren’t joking. It was smoky and it had a very bitter aftertaste. I’d like to try this when it’s had a little bit more time to age and settle.

Draught at the brewpub, 9 %. Clear copper color, short head. Aroma of caramel malt, candy, sweetness. Hint of alcohol, but in a pleasant way. Sweet taste, candy, malty. A lot of taste for a Spanish brew. Definitely one of the best brews in Spain.

Darught at the brewpub. Hazy golden color, short white head. Faint aroma, but that’s perhaps because it is served really cold (it’s Spain after all..). Hops in flavor, not dominant though, pleasantly bitter. Well brewed compared to big Spanish lagers.

Bottled
Muddy amber color. Light fruity, yeasty and cheesy aroma. More round body, but lower bitterness; ending with a caramel feeling.
