Tap, sampled december 2003
Restrained aroma. Cloudy murky brown. Full and fruity with a pine-needle aftertaste.

Ryleighs Best Amber Ale
A decent amber, though horribly undercarbonated. A decent beer with some caramel undernotes. A good beer that just doesn’t compare to other ambers.

Ryleighs Revenge IPA
A decent IPA from this tiny street brewery. Nice nose, a little low on hops though I don’t mind.

Ryleighs Christmas Scotch Ale
First beer in Maryland. Good Scotch Ale. Unlike the Amber, a decent amount of carbonation. Caramel and smoke are evident.

Ryleighs Revenge IPA
Mediocre... much like the rest of their beers. Not really offensive, but very thin, watery and fizzy. The nose is nice. ’nuff said.

Ryleighs Best Amber Ale
Aroma hard to detect. Cloudy amber color, lowish head. Grainy flavors with some yeast notes. Served a bit too cold, but no more interresting flavors after warming it a bit. Lightbodied.

Ryleighs Oktoberfest
Very murky orange/copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is very malty with some fruity and spicy esters. The flavor is full of dark fruits and warm alcohol. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, dry, very clean, crisp finish.

Ryleighs Blueberry Hill
Hazy, apricot-colored brew. Small, white head with minimal lacing. The nose is of cinnamon, blueberries, caramel and buttermilk. Well-balanced and a touch tangy. Fruity flavor with notes of apricot and blueberry. Light-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, bone-dry finish. Very crisp and well-hopped for a fruit beer.
