mcberko	3.6 Senkin Muku Junmai Daiginjo Sake Bottle pour at Raisu, pours a clear blonde. Aroma is vinous and somewhat perfumey, with a floral white wine character and some booze. Flavour is very lightly sweet, with lychee, a touch of stone fruit, and floral notes. Gentle alcohol, but nice bold flavours. Very good. Saturday, October 29, 2022

KyotoLefty	2.9 Senkin Kabutomushi 50% Nakadori Muroka Nama Genshu Sake Taster at Jam. Diacetyl in the nose, strangely enough, with some caramel and apples and some alcohol burn. Yellowish tint. Yuki Daruma Nigorizake 50% polishing 12% ABV is a completely opaque white, kind of brings to mind some kind of medical concoction- the snowman bottle was super cute though. Plain Yoghurt aroma. wetherel	4 Senkin Kaishu Sake Had a tough time finding this in the database. Had a nice Japanese restaurant. Inexpensive, happy hour sake. Served warm. Nice yeasty aroma. Appears clear in an gray clay sake cup, though I imagine a yellow tint would be possible if I had clear/white cup. Hint of sweetness. Easy to drink. No alcohol burn. Very good, but then I like sake. Cornfield	2.7 Senkin Kaishu Sake Not very exciting, unless you’re going for an alcohol buzz, riding a strong ABV. But tonight I’m just sipping a small glassfull. Clear as crystal, it’s got a perfumed rice, grassy aroma with a hint of the alcohol. Peppery hot on the tongue, it maintains that grassy feeling in the flavor, having a lot less going on than most of the sakes I’ve tried to date.
