Scopey	4.3 The Alchemist Rapture (2014-) Can shared with my familia. It pours cloudy golden - yellow with a medium, fluffy white head. The aroma is super fresh, sticky, sappy, resinous, juicy, bright orange creamsicle, tangerine, mango, pine needles, peach melba and freshly baked fruit pie. The taste is drying upfront, decent hit of bitterness, green, weedy, dank, bong rips, floury bread, lemon - lime, grapefruit, pithy, zesty, slightly soapy, waxy peel, pine needles, tropical fruit vibes, mango, peachy and a nip of booze with a drying finish. Medium+ body and moderate, carbonation. Super bright, green and fruity vibes. Lovely. Friday, May 10, 2024

She was kind enough to share a shot-glass full (she had no interest in my Header Topper). Color: The palest yellow-gold that you could envision with a trace of white head and lots of clingy lacing. Aroma: floral, fresh-cut grass, lemon. Flavor: honey, cereal grains, shortbread, lemon. Mouthfeel: light- to medium-bodied with a creamy finish. For a low ABV beer, this is very tasty. Nose has super syrupy candied orange peel. Sappy resinous pine. Proper marmalade. Taste is super sticky sweet up front with plenty of sappy pithy ripe citrus bitterness. Drinks spot on at the ABV. ClarkVV	4 The Alchemist Skadoosh #98 Can at the brewery, 3/15/24. Moderately-to-heavily hazy, dull brass. Medium-sized, well-retained, white head. Coconut, unripe pineapple and light floral lemongrass. But mostly coconut. Scant malt, clean, no resin or alcohol. Good and malty, honey and biscuit with excellent attenuation. Heavy, heavy coconut, like obnoxiously so. Wow, what a hop. Butter (not Diacetyl), pineapple, bit of fruity citrus and pine. Really, really well-structured beer. ClarkVV	4 The Alchemist Skadoosh #9 Batch 9 fresh can drunk 9/21/17. Mosaic version. Thoroughly hazy, bronze-golden. Frothy white head shows moderate retention. Big bursts of juicy nectarine and mango showcase the best aspects of this hop while leaving out the worst, pine, grapefruit rind, heavy resin. Malt behind it is crackery, lightly honey-like, mostly sparse. No alcohol or flaw. Very fresh, green, spicy and aromatic. Malty, dry, juicy and lightly bitter, more yellow, tropical-tinged fruits leading to a leafty, vegetal, fairly lush, juicy finish that shows little/no pine/resin. Soft texture, low but engaging carbonation. No alcohol or flaw. Mosaic isn't often done well, and it's a shame because it's wonderful when it is. Friday, February 16, 2024

Spicy, peppery, authentic blueberry with mild lactic and Brett, well-aged and nothing sharp here. Juicy, tart, aromatic, really lovely blueberry expression. Oak is strong in the background. Tart, turning lightly sour with huge blueberry acidity, juice and spice. Wow, that's a shit ton of blueberry...still a touch of acetic character sharpening things, but mostly blueberry, malt and lactic acidity. Very juicy, flavorful, intense. Interesting to use such a high gravity base, but it mostly works. Could probably use another year in barrel and/or bottle, honestly. Just too much acetic, more emerging as it breathes and warms... More vanilla than either lactose or roast, thankfully. Rich, chocolatey milk-like with fruity vanilla and moderate coffee character. Clean. Chocolate-vanilla cereal milk. Low but ample toast bitterness. More vanilla, soft and fruity. Lightly sweet, medium bodied, moderate attenuation. Pretty good amount of flavor for its size and the vanilla beans are dynamite. Хмеля много, много травянистости, прямо трава, небольшие нотки цитрусов, легкая пыльца цветочная. Цвет не такой мутный как у современных хэйзи, скорее полу мутный, пенка белая, средняя. Вкус такой же, есть травы сново в основе, много горячи сразу, которая только усиливается при глотке. Помимо трав, есть снова пыльца и корка цитрусов. Тело не такое мутное как у почти всех современных Нью ингландов, скажем на половину, пенка при этом стойкая, белая, пушистая. Вкус очень сбалансированный, снова дыня и нотки от цветов. Podsumowanie: Jest siła, moc, jest legenda! 20 lat istnienia browaru Alchemist. To jest coś! Heady Topper 20th Anniversary wypuszczony z tej okazji. Przepiękne piwko! Brentv	4.6 The Alchemist Heady Topper Five years I've been looking for this. I had given up finding it on the West Coast until suddenly, there it was. Two cans. I poured into a glass before I read the instructions. It is hazy orange and gold with a small white head. I was immediately struck by the huge fruity citrus aroma. Taste is equally big. Some DIPAs are balanced in the sense that the flavor profile straddles the line between bitter and sweet by perfectly finding the middle. This one is different. It is intensely bitter and deliciously sweet - so much that it is two distinct experiences at once. The flavors are pineapple and mango and clementine. Something dank and skunky sits in there, too, in the most delightful way, as they say. The experience is electric, with a full mouthfeel. This is easy to drink, and the high ABV is well-hidden. Hazy, pale golden tight snow-white head - drank the rest from the can as instructed. Dank aroma, some tropical notes, a touch of cat urine, fresh spruce. Full-bodied flavor, juicy tropical hoppiness, some pineapple, a touch of papaya, slight bit of apricot sourness, some cake batter sweetness to round it out. Thick, rib-sticking mouthfeel. Taste is assertively bitter, resinous pine and pithy grapefruit and citrus rind, this is what I like about Alchemist, the haze, but with great bitterness. There is a balance with grainy malts toward the finish, leading to a long bitter and pithy linger. Outstanding Saturday, November 18, 2023
