The national standard lager of Kyrgyzstan, from a 50 cl bottle shared by tderoeck, thanks for this country tick Tim! Thin and open, snow white, shred-lacing head over a somewhat orange-tinged old golden beer, clear with some loose sparkling here and there. Aroma initially primarily lightstruck (mercaptans from disintegrated hop components – or ‘cat pee’ as some say), later making room for notes of old cereals, dry straw, stale corn water, grass, dust and iron – I guess the dusty mountain slopes of Kyrgyzstan are well conveyed here… Neutral onset, quickly shifting to a monochromous and boring grainy sweetishness, with slick, thin body, moderately carbonated; simple sweetish graininess continuing further on with slight metallic edge and ending with a vague grassy touch, but remaining dramatically low in (hop) bitterness. This is about as blend as they come, even in this most hopeless of beer styles, but it sure makes for a great country tick…

500ml bottle from Tzum, Bishkek. Golden body, no head, patches on top. Soviet design, the same grainy, breadlike and sweet nose and taste as many other lagers from former soviet republics. A reminisce of the planned economy? Drinkable, but nothing special. Ok with horse meat.

50cl bottle from a random minimarket in Karakol. Pours clear golden with a white head. Peculiar grainy aroma with hints of grass and hay. Strange Soviet style lager in a strange Kyrgz city. There a golden Lenin statue on the square, but now a cold yurt is waiting. Don't know what's worst.

Pours clear golden, topped with large frothy white head, very nonlasting. Grainy nose with breadiness. Gently bittery, grassy with some sweetness. Very light, almost watery. A bit metallic in the finish. Not too nice, but hey, it's from Kyrgyz Rep.

Backlog from 2012, still have cap for proof. Bottle from random shop in Sochi. Straight from bottle. Very grainy aroma, sweet, malty. Taste was grainy, wet cardboard, oily. Light body, below average carbonation. Average "Soviet" pale lager, better than common West macros.

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for sharing! Strange beginning. Very soft and smooth. Has similarity to Kvass. The body is soft, the malty body is round and full. No bitterness in the aftertaste, hints of sweetness, easy to drink, round and nice. I like the soft smooth malty layer, which reminds me of Kvass, but not as sweet here. For this ABV the beer is nice!

Bottle - 500ml. Boring golden body with a thin, white foamy head. Strong skunky aroma (thank you, green bottle!) with urine hints. Its watery taste carries metallic and rotten herbs notes. Ends with a short metallic finish. Very bad.

A little bit too much "dishwashing cloth" taste and smell in this regular mainstream lager. If I don’t have any other beer available then I can drink it, but I prefer almost any other beer over it.

Bottle at a Ratebeer "sticky floor" tasting, Den Haag. Poured a clear light yellow straw colour with a glass hugging head. The aroma was malty smooth and creamy but it tasted awful which I guess is the most important attribute. Avoid... If you can!

Nice country tick from Dean at his sticky floor tasting. Clear golden color, medium sized a bit creamy white head that lasts for a decent while. Smell malts, grains and a bit stale. Tastes about the same. Better than expected imo. Medium carbonation, low body.
