Aroma is apple, caramel, citrus, straw, slightly musty, funky and mucky. Medium sweetness and light tartness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Drying finish. Decent farmhouse cider. Grumbo	3.7 Wilkins Cider - Medium (Draught) 12/10/2023. BIAB at Nottingham Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Pours slightly hazy pale golden orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is funky, apple, citrus, horse blanket, rubber. Medium sweetness, light tartness and sourness. Medium body, low carbonation. Drying tart and fruity finish. Very nice. Saturday, October 14, 2023

Aroma of stewed apples and sweet apple crumble. Medium plus sweetness, moderate tartness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Nice tart/sweet mix to finish. Liked it. Taste is sharp, vinegar tart and then sweet mellow apple with alittle dry tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, very tart vinegary finish. Quite OK Saturday, April 13, 2019
deusxm	4.2 Wilkins Cider - Dry (Draught) Exceptional stuff. Easy to drink, great golden colour, has a proper 'rural' taste. Stick with the dry - the medium and sweet are very drinkable but not to my taste. Go to Mudgeley and drink it straight from the source with a plate of cheddar and pork scratchings. Golden yellow with no head. Aroma is elderflower and apple. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is quite dry and resinous, apple peel, semisweet apple flesh. Decent. Nose is orchard fruit, apple skins, light barnyard, caramel, sweet notes, hedgerow. Taste comprises light funk, sharp apple, oak, caramel, sweet and sour, straw, raw orchard. The aroma is earth, musty, apple pie, musty, apple skin, funk, dirty barnyard. vanilla and oak. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, slick, apple pie, apple cider vinegar, tart, touch of acidity, tannin, musty, vinous and white grape with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Scopey	3.6 Wilkins Cider - Sweet (Draught) Straight from the wooden barrel, poured by Mr Roger Wilkins himself. It pours hazy bright gold. The aroma is earthy, juicy, big sweet apple pie character, farmyard funk, light vanilla and marzipan. The taste is initially dry, apple skin, earthy, barnyard, apple pie & ice cream, custard creams, tannins and wood with a dry, fruity finish. Medium bodied and flat. Has a certain creaminess to it. For a sweet cider this is rather nice. My least favourite of the 3 versions of this cider, but still pretty special. Sunday, March 6, 2016
Scopey	4.3 Wilkins Cider - Medium (Draught) Straight from the wooden barrel, poured by Mr Roger Wilkins himself. It pours bright hazy green-gold. The aroma is earthy, rustic, bitter- sweet, tangy fruity action, tannins, farmyard, funky brett, white grape and apple skin. The taste is bitter - sweet, earthy, rustic, barnyard, sweet apple pie, apple skin, tangy fruits, tannins, wood, leather, hay, dull florals and a touch of spice to round things off. Even though this is medium, the finish ends up pretty dry. Alcohol is entirely hidden. As with the dry version the drinkability and subtle complexity is breathtaking. Balanced and crushable. Scopey	4.3 Wilkins Cider - Dry (Draught) Straight from the wooden barrel, poured by Mr Roger Wilkins himself. It pours hazy greenish - gold no head whatsoever. The aroma is earthy and authentic, rather musty, brett, farmyard, dirt, rustic apple action, a touch of sweet apple, hay and wood. The taste is dry upfront, earthy, soft mellow sweetness, tannins, apple spin, apple pie, hay, wood, touch of spice and a lick of acidity. Finishes up firm, dry and moreish. Smooth, dry and exceptionally well balanced. Hides the abv very well. The depth of complexity and subtlety of this is astounding. Straight-up the best cider I have ever had. Sunday, March 6, 2016
caesar	4 Wilkins Cider - Medium (Draught) Jar from the brewery, brought by a friend. He didn’t know which it was exactly, but it was not overly sweet, but certainly not dry. I suspect it’s somewhere in between and as it also is the most rated version, I’ll put my rating under this entry. Hazy golden color, virtually no head. Lovely aroma of sweet apple with funky notes, slight farmhouse, bit spicy even. Soft sweet in taste, bit funkiness. I’d love to try more of these kinds of farmhouse ciders instead of the dry and sparkling rubbish macro cideries make. Monday, December 7, 2015
jercraigs	3 Wilkins Cider - Medium (Draught) 2015-09-20. Hazy yellow body, near headless. Aroma is a bit funky, dry earthy apple and some funky sweaty notes. Flavour is sweet and lightly fruit up front but then finishes bone dry. Fruity up front then an almost chalky earthy finish. Pleasant fruity apple at the core, with strong sharp dry apple character in the finish. Average bodied palate, soft to low carbonation.
