flatmatt	3.5 Arbor Loner Hand On tap at the Corner Brewery. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Pilsner malt in the aroma. Flavors of pilsner malt, herbal, grassy, spicy hop flavors. I feel like there's kind of a darker herb presence in there like basil, too, but most likely that's just my imagination. Not amazing, but pretty good. Sunday, April 14, 2024

willisread	3.3 Arbor Tilted Earth IPA Series: Summer IPA Backlog 7/9/2021: Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy, straw gold with a small white head with big bubbles that dissipates. Lots of white grapefruit, muscat and notes of lime on the nose. More of the same on the palate. Strong pithy, bitterness with lingering lemon zest and green citrus. Slight acidic note that lingers. Aroma has a good amount of roast and some earthy chocolate with dark grains supporting. Flavor combines roast and dark grains well with some earthy chocolate and a hint of raisin coming through. smroush	3.9 Arbor Liquid Vinyl Russian Imperial Stout Aromas of cocoa, coffee and licorice. Taste has light hints of smoke and spices (cinnamon and vanilla). Slightly lively; light to medium bodied for an imperial stout. Not great but pretty good, fairly complex and enjoyable. Sunday, May 21, 2023
jgb9348	3.5 Arbor Satin Skies Deep dark brown coloured body with a thick, but fast-dying tan and light brown head that leaves a pretty nice lace on the sides. Aroma of oatmeal, cherries, light coffee and some relatively pungent nuts with a good deal of cream, lactose and especially vanilla here, but the oats and roasted malt bill is the strongest. Medium-bodied; Rich oatmeal and nutty flavours come through at a big bite with some coffee, vanilla, cream and lactose, along with some bitter rustic and earthy qualities, but this is balanced pretty nicely here. Aftertaste is pungent, deep, bitter and grainy with a good level of sweetness that isn't cloying at all, but enjoyable throughout. Overall, a very nice beer with a great malty kick, some pungent sugars and robust bitterness from the grain and coffee, but balanced nicely throughout. A good beer to sample, especially when the weather still is a bit chilly (as it should be) in early Spring. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Kroger in Detroit (Utica, 23 Mild Road), Michigan on 18-April-2023 for US$10,99/six pack sampled in my hotel room here in Utica, Michigan on 18-April-2023. flatmatt	3.6 Arbor Tropi Tango Hazy IPA 12 oz can, no date I can find. Hazy yellow pour with some small chunks sinking to the bottom and a white head. Citrusy grapefruit aroma with some herbal hops and a touch of caramel sweetness. Citrus hop flavor, some grassy herbal hops, a bit of biscuit and a light sweetness. A decent one. Learninbeer	4.1 Arbor Buzzsaw IPA (2018-) 12 ounce can. The aroma is hops pine and citrus. Pours a clear copper orange with white head, fully diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is a smooth bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy and the carbonation average. Feels malty with a smoothness that makes this a very tasty beer. Friday, March 24, 2023

Flavor is a more sour white grape, a very drying tartness, red apple, apricot. Again it's kind of hard for me to accurately describe, but I really like it. Saturday, February 25, 2023

Flavor has lemon at first, with some other citrus and biscuit, but still definitely lemony. Also tried a handpull with Nelson Sauvin and lemon peel added, which tasted like a very different beer: more herbal and spicy hop profile, still with lemon, but only at times. willisread	3.6 Arbor Euchre Pilsner 10/7/2020 Backlog - Draft at Bigalora Southfield. Pours a clear straw gold with a full 2 fingers of creamy white foam. Light grain and peppery hops on the nose. Crisp and clean, light-bodied and easy drinking. Peppery hops and grass with grain on the finish. Easy drinking, but complex with some lingering mineral notes on the finish. Pretty nice. willisread	3.7 Arbor Buzzsaw IPA (2018-) 10/7/2020 Backlog - Draft at Bigalora Southfield. Pours a clear gold with 2 fingers of white foam that lingers. Lovely pine and citrus pith aromas with light toasted malt. Dry on the palate with pine, pith and faint citrus zest noticeable. Fairly dry finish with a light body and punchy, citrus focused hops. It definitely does what it set out to do, though I sort of wish there were less fruit and more of the Jackhammer base (at least, I assume that's the base beer from the name and the flavor). jgb9348	4 Arbor FIGJAM Quadruple Beer #4 (of 19) of my 9000th Beer Celebration [9 beers on both sides of #9000th itself] Deep, super dark brown coloured body with a slight hazy glow, but almost completely black look, even when held to the light at an angle, all with a very fast-dying two to three centimetre tall off-white head that goes away after a few seconds. Aroma of alcohol, figs, caramelised sugars, plums, apples, molasses and a lot of sweetness, but more from the malts and alcohol here in the nose - quite strong. Full-bodied; Rich figgy and plum, pitted fruit sweetness and fruit flavours dominate with a lot of rich malts and caramelised sugars including molasses and toffee, but the malts, strong bready and slightly doughy flavours make this pungent, rich and full of flavour, especially sweetness and alcohol near the end. Aftertaste is very figgy with a lot of plum, apricot and caramelised sugars with a ton of rich malts and a good deal of pungent grainy notes and some bread at the tail end with a lot of rich flavours through, especially the malty, sweet and alcohol ones. Overall, a surprisingly nice beer that is rich, full of character and showing the figs nicely, but the sweetness and pungency from fruits better than most with a lot of alcohol and richness from the malts in a great way. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Merchant's in Dearborn, Michigan on 10-December-2016 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here in Washington for Beer #4 (of 19) of my 9000th beer celebration [9 beers on both sides of #9000th itself] on 09-September-2021. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family.
