Wittenberger Lager
Tap. Light to moderate grain for the malt, light herbs and dough for the hops and yeast. Head is average to large, frothy, white, with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear, light amber. Flavor starts slightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, with a soft to lively carbonation. Nice easy drinking Helles.

(6/21/08) Draught at the Leipziger Bierbörse festival in Leipzig. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of adjuncts and grainy malt. Sweet grainy flavor with sugar. Light-bodied. This beer pretty much sucks, I had to water a near-by tree with it.

Wittenberger Kuckucksbier
A strange beer. No idea where it is brewed. Simply named "Kuckucksbier". Asked Ludwiga Zerbst about it, It think it’s brewed in different breweries in different times. My one is a schwarzbier, 4,9 % ABV. The bottle looks terrible, the beer in the glass is not bad. Tastes modest malty, a little bit sweet. Dry finish, almost like a dunkel. Not bad!
