Vi har ladet os inspirere fortrinsvist af de kære belgiere med denne hvedeøl, der, som alle andre øl fra Trolden Bryghus, naturligvis også er ufiltreret. På fortovscaféer i Sydtyskland og i Belgien er hvedeøllet det rigtige valg på en varm dag. For yderligere at understrege friskheden har vi tilsat skallen fra økologiske citroner under brygningen, så hvedeøllets smag bliver endnu friskere og endnu mere tillokkende. (For de sprogkyndige: ’Lemon’ henviser til det engelske ord for citron, og har altså intet med det danske lemon - som vist nok er en ’limefrugt’! - at gøre. DraftDodger	2.8 Trolden Lemon Express Copenhagen 4/11 2022. 50 cl bottle from VinSpecialisten, Butikstorvet, Billund. Dark label in Trolden Bryghus' usual design with a little green lemon added for good measure. Pours opaque, murky golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing. Aroma is fairly intense with a floral and fruity odor with strong citric notes. Sweet pale malts, rose flower, overpowering scent of citrus concentrate. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger sourness. Aftertaste is a bit thin. Tart and sour. CloakedDagger	2.5 Trolden Tøndervej Midtby Øl Bottle 50 cl. Poura a clear yellow with a tiny, white head. Very subdued aroma, slight malts and a slightly tart edge. Very light body, close to watery, very little maltiness but a whiff of lemon, but not from aroma hops, they are non-existant. Again a slight tartness that I attribute to the added lemon peel. Maybe because a good deal of the beer was clearly overcarbonated and almos succeeded in flooding my table when I opened the beer. Hazy muddy waters amber body. Weak herbal aroma. Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Bubbly. Settles as thin, creamy layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing. Aroma is medium intense intense with a sweet odor of dark roasted malts with a lactic touch. Caramel and toffee. Salty licorice. Sour milk. Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture. Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is bitter and salty. Decent Milk Stout with a salty licorice bite. Friday, January 1, 2021
