2.7 Deil Edel Hell (bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond foamy head of medium size. Light-sweet strawy malty and slightly mineralic nose with notes of sour dough and herbal hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Strawy malty taste with herbal elements; dry and slightly hop bitter finish with a tinge of metal. No highlight, just drinkable (03.VI.09). Wednesday, June 3, 2009

2.9 Deil Hefeweizen bottle, bought at the brewery. Apparently they’ve stopped breweing, as the owner’s wife told me. They still have two beers available: Edel Hell and Hefeweizen, I was told they were brewerd and bottled by Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren. Cloudy darker golden yellow, large and very creamy white head. Fruity nose. Medium-bodied, fruity, slightly yeasty and wheaty. Sunday, February 1, 2009

2.9 Deil Bräu Zwickel Bottled. Light malty aroma with a hint of citrus and light herbal as well. Yellow color, large white irregular head that diminishes fast and almost completely, few lace, second glass from the same bottle was hazy. Light sweet, light bitter, light malty, hint of citrus, medium body. Technically and flavor not bad but overall uninteresting like so many German beers. Sunday, December 18, 2005
