Sample thanks to Grumbo. Pours a generally clear-ish gold. Aroma is sweet, light acidity, light sour. Taste is fairly sharp, with a breezy acidity, extremely tart and moderately sour, some sulphur. Plenty of juice, a little light but a good zing to it. Not as abrasive as others, but very drinkable.

Bottle sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, afew bubbles on top that dissipate away and sharp sour vinegary apple aroma. Taste is tart, solventy, apple, fruity, with some apple skin, sulphur hint, sour, funk and tannin. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tart finish. Quite drinkable.

22/4/2019. Bottle in trade from fombe89. Pours almost clear golden with a short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of semi-sour apples with light acidity and a little sulphur. Light sweetness, medium to heavy tartness, slightly salty on the lips. Moderate body, slight watery texture, lightest carbonation. Nice tart, slightly dry finish. Quite decent.

Many thanks to fombe89 for this 70cl bottle. Fresh smooth sourish beginning. The sulphur is there but low, the Sidra is tart, nit too deep and easy to drink. The apples are typical for that region, a bit watery in body, refreshing with a smooth and sourish sulphur aftertaste. Easy to drink, not too deep, refreshing but a bit watery.

Bottle at Ferrovario Oviedo. Moderate intensity of sweetness and tartness. Lightly sour. Slightly rough apple character, more simplistic and highland style. Very good.

In short: An archetypical funky Sidra. Good.
How: Bottle at El Ferroviario Sideria, one of the many many Sideria restaurants not listed on ratebeer in Oviedo Spain.
The look: Cloudy yellow-blonde body with no head to speak of.
To me a typical Sidra is: Funky aroma of medium intensity with many light color fruits in the back (not just apples). Body is medium in size, a texture that is both juicy and doughy and with minimal carbonation. Taste is a lot less apple-forward than a regular cider with apples but also various light color tropical/citrus/exotic fruits. Yeast presence accompanied by a bready sensation. Typical Sidras have a mild sourness and ends with a mild-medium acidic bite. Thirst quenching and also a bit nourishing.
This one: Pretty much exactly as above, the funky Sidra blueprint, good but not among my favorites. This was one of the many bottles I had sideria crawling on Oviedo’s Boulevard de la Sidra, oh man, I was feeling like a 782,616 Euros (approximately a million bucks).
