same second bottle was opened was a geyser of beer from the bottle. approximately 50% of the beer fumes in addition to glass and kitchen table. The scent is dusty and slightly malty. the taste is too tart for brown ale style and carbonation level is too high. the beer did not taste sour, but something must be wrong with it. In toil dogs from Viby brewery owe me a new carpet

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Cloudy, dark amber colour without any noticeable head. Sweet and heavily yeasty toast-malty aroma with notes of wort, caramel, a nutty touch and vanilla. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a flat carbonation. Toast-malty and slightly nutty taste with notes of caramel; dry and slightly burnt-bitter finish. Unconvincing. 16.IX.08

Medium body with burned caramel, nuts and a vague smoked accent. Burned malt bitterness. Quite decent really - in spite of its flatness. 310808

It’s a black stout with a huge, light brown and creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate – or rather more cocoa than chocolate and some sourness. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, a light sweetness, sourness and a dry, roasted bitterness with a twist of citrus. It’s not very harmonic.

Viby India Pale Ale
The IPA pours a hazy orange with a coarse off-white head. The aroma is dominated by a sweet malty caramel, bread, and a spicy earthy/grassy hoppiness. In the mouth, it starts slightly sweet and bready, feeling soft, slightly viscous and with a medium-low carbonation. As the flavor progresses, it shifts into a long stroke of drying bitterness with notes of paper and spice.

Dark, murky, orange-brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruit and hints of resin and caramel. The flavour is very edgy in the bitterness, it is almost harsh and crude, but after a while it leaves room for a little sweetness. The bitterness is good, but out of balance and I would like some caramel in the sweetness. IMO this could be a very good IPA with a little adjustment.
