This is the unfiltered brother of the Rössle Bräu Export (so far the only beer made at this brewery) It is only available at the just recently reopened local inn (at a very decent price). It looks just perfect, and is - compared to the also very fine Export - just a little bit more drinkable and lively. (of course the setting at the beer garden under the chestnut trees adds a lot to the pleasure).

Bottle (great donation by Quack-Duck!): Golden, stable smaller off-white head, clean and solid malty-rural nose with some hoppy illusions; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft and mild; slightly lingering malty-hoppy finish. Nice rural brew......

Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks a lot. A clear golden beer with low head. Nose is low; Aroma is on dry malty with caramel notes, pleasant hopy character with a bitter long finish.

(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly grainy malty aroma with notes of honey, as well as a tinge of draff/barnyard and a delicate touch of spicy herbal hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Soft pale malty taste with notes of biscuits and honey; sweet malty and slightly hop bitter finish with a biscuity malty aftertaste. Clean and smooth farmhouse Lager. 06.VI.11

Textbook grainy German lager. Soft hay/fields/grass in the aroma, some multigrain soft cereal sweetness, substantial breadiness and bitterness in the flavor with moderate sweetness. Easy to drink, feels homemade. Perfect darker gold color, head lasts a little less time than others. Wonderful, "normalny" helles lager, thanks to Quack-Duck.

Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Golden color. Soft hayaroma. Malty hay-like, slightly perfumed flavor. Hints of grass. Full bodied. Typical small brewery helles.

bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear golden colour, mid-sized whitehead. Grainy-malty nose with a hoppy accent. Solid grainy-malty base with a nice sweet touch. Quite hop-accented with nice aromatic and bitter hops - floral and grassy on the one hand, dry and slightly bitter on the other. Well crafted beer - I wish there were more traditional village breweries like this still open.
