German Country Place Dunkel
Draught at the brewpub. Dark mahogany, almost clear, small fairly pesistant head. Nutty roasty malt aroma. Sweetish with rounded mouthfeel and notes of butter. The solid roasty malt creates flavours of licorice and asphalt. Finishes abruptly in a fruity, lightly salty finish without bitterness.

German Country Place Weizen
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow, lively creamy head. Aroma of banana, cloves and paper. Medium sweet with soft mouthfeel. A short burst of papery malt flavour followed by estery banana. Fruity and medium bodied, perhaps a bit mushy. A more than decent weizen.

German Country Place Lager
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy pale yellow, firm creamy head. Flowery viola nose. Sweetish up front with hints of vegetables na dpaper. Light bodied with some doughy malt and rather mellow mouthfeel. Very little hops, and just a hint of salty bitterness. Too streamlined in it’s attempt to suply the demand of blandish beer. It did work well with the spicy food here, that certianly wasn’t dumbed down.

German Country Place Country Red
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy amber, small head. Smokey and buttery, rather sweet. Lots of malt provides a solid body and rounded mouthfeel. Salmiac and smoke is eveident. A dash of ash in a finish with low bitterness. As the description provided is only written in Thai I can’t confirm if it’s intended to be a rauchbier, but it surely tastes like it. A good effort!
