danlo	3.6 Yamatogawa Yauemon Shu Awa (Pearl) Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Cloudy pale yellow-white colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of rice, melon, sherberty. Taste is sweetish, rice, fruity, melon, with some well hidden booze. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying finish. Nicely drinkable. Sunday, February 25, 2024
Grumbo	3.6 Yamatogawa Yauemon Shu Awa (Pearl) 9/2/2024. Bottle from The Wasabi Company. Region #450. Japanese region 29/47. Saké - Daiginjo rating #10. Pours slightly clouded pale milky yellow with a few bubbles. Aroma is sweet, flowery, melon, pear, fragrant rice, touch of honey and vanilla. Quite sweet sugary taste, with a milk biscuit edge. Mild bitterness, developing gently. Medium body. Nicely carbonated. This worked well. Friday, February 9, 2024
Oakes	3.2 Rashiku Junmai Slight yellowish hue in dark light. Balsa wood, light koji, cleanly starchy nose. Light koji, alcohol slides in late. Light mango fruitiness. Soft body - the kiss of sweetness at the end elevates it above the mundane. Friday, March 7, 2008
Oakes	3.9 Yamatogawa Rashiku Sake Clear. The aroma is very assertive - toasty, balsa wood, bamboo shoots...nice. Sweetish palate with a clean rice note. Soft body but fills the mouth. Hints at shiitake, enoki and bamboo shoots. Very drinkable. Monday, May 28, 2007
