Kamifurano Beer Reviews

Kamifurano Blond
Can. Drank one day after the brewery closed! Deep golden color with cooper tints. Cloudy. A low head with large bubbles. Very sweet and fruity aroma with honey, very fragrant, a bit too sweet of a nose but enticing. Flowery, something like melon, probably from the yeast. Very sweet, honey-like flavor. Some caramel, fruity, candied fruit. Interesting but rather too sweet. A bit of hops there to balance, but not enough. A touch of sour as well. Very light body and carbonation. A rather strange beer overall. Not bad, but not very good either. It is a bit cloying, and one would certainly be more than enough in a sitting.

Kamifurano Dark
My Bottom Line:
Still honey puddles and earth-covered yesterday’s roast scent this lazy, muddled concoction. Forgotten vinous tartness tiptoes on by, lost and confused.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Quickly headless, the cloudy deep copper isn’t very alluring.
-Carbonation is again quite low, exposing the complacent maltiness.
-This is their most flavorful brew, but it’s just not good.
-Oh, they are no infections here, but it’s still an amateurish attempt at a craft beer.

Kamifurano Blond
My Bottom Line:
A direct caramel hit wanders into wet French toast territory, as distraught herbal hops retire to their faraway asylum. This is way too sweet for quenching purposes, and dreadfully linear for tasting ventures.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circumspects the hazy deep amber(?).
-The slippery mouthfeel isn’t helped by the lazy carbonation.
-This is not balanced at all, and mostly incohesive.
-This is clean, simple, amateurish homebrew.

Kamifurano Light
My Bottom Line:
Feeble citrus fruitiness and meshed-in cereals produce an unequivocally boring, yet clean, watery Weizen.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the clear, very pale blond.
-The body is very lean and obviously made for quenching.
-Wheat is somewhat damp, not in its finest form at all.
-I’d say this is a slightly stronger version of their Extra Light, but then again it’s almost as silent flavor-wise, so it’s hard to tell.

Kamifurano Hungarian Extra Light
My Bottom Line:
Bare cereal sweetness and wheaty citrus character are about all that are produced for the taster. There isn’t much to say about this quencher, but at least it’s their easiest full glass to down.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of circles the very pale blond.
-There are barely any hops in here.
-The body is surprisingly not anemic, so that’s enjoyable.
-Smooth prickliness helps the mouthfeel.
-This is somewhat of a cross between a Kristallweizen and a basic blond lager...
