The “Quick Soured Beers” are catch-all styles for any non-traditional golden to amber colored Sour Ale where the implementation of a microorganism other than traditional brewer’s yeasts ensures a drier, thinner and sour. They are generally soured using a Sour Mashing or Kettle Souring technique in a stainless steel tun and have a tartness taste similar of an unsweetened yogurt, without the funkiness of Traditional Sour Beers.
(Contemporary Berliner Weisses and Goses usually uses this technique but have their own separate style)
