yellow mombin

The fruit of the Spondias mombin tree, native to tropical Americas, cultivated only in the Brazilian Northeast (where it's known as cajá, taperebá and ambaló, but introduced to the Caribbean, South Asia and Africa as well. Also one of the fruits referred to as "hog plum".
