I find that many beers are rated to high or to low for a number of reasons(peer pressure, brewer reputation, previous ratings, style, or just fear of going against the grain). I am all about independent, unbiased, no bull ratings. I don’t believe style alone is enough to qualify a beer as good or bad. Overall enjoyment is by far the most important thing. There are plenty of good off style beers and many that fit their style that are no good.
