Homebrewing has really given me a better perspective on ingredients and what affects flavor.
I read a lot of people's ratings and I think it's hilarious how so many people will give say 'Bud Lite' a 4.7 and then rate 'Labatts Blue' a 1.2 - obviously taste is not a factor in those ratings.
If you put two drops red and one drop blue food coloring into Michelob Ultra it looks EXACTLY like Lagunitas IPA. Try that kind of side-by-side taste test with a macro swilling friend and watch as hilarity ensues.
