No other beverage pleases my soul more than beer. I’m a strong believer in quality, hand crafted beer and think beer that is mass-produced is as boring as watching a paint drying/grass growing competition on C-SPAN, with your host Al Gore. ****
Since joining this website a couple of months ago, I’ve developed a pet peeve: people who review beer from memory. The only way to properly rate beer is to have a glass right in front of you, not relying on unreliable memories. Seriously, how can somone remember the aroma or palate of a beer drank years ago? "Back in my college days, I used to drink this all the time..." is how these reviews usually start. I think it’s totally unfair to the beer in question, even if you’re trying to remember what Milwaukee’s Best tasted like. If I were to give a review to every beer I ever remember drinking, I’d probably have as many reviews as Ungstrup over there in Denmark. That isn’t the case, though. Every one of my reviews was done with the beer right there in front of me. Alrighty, excuse the interruption, time to get off the high horse now, it’s time to drink some beer.
