Jackie O's Cellar Cuvée 1

Brewer: Jackie O's Pub & Brewery
Style: Strong Ale - American
Alcohol Content: 11.4%
Seasonal: Series

Description:
Blend of bourbon barrel aged stout and wheatwine. The Cellar Cuvée project is inspired by the art of blending. Multiple beers are married together after aging in oak barrels within our cellar. Cellar Cuvée 1 was the original, released in May of 2009. This was before we were bottling and this blend was draft-only. Bourbon Barrel Dark Apparition and Wood Ya Honey came together, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for both our staff and customers. It felt very fitting to finally release this beer in a bottle format to complete the series. Bourbon soaked honeycomb drizzled with dark chocolate and molasses. Pair with candied bacon, Cantonese spare ribs, and carrot cake. Description: A carefully blended homage to the first of this series, released in 2009. Our most cherished bourbon barrels of Dark Apparition and Wood Ya Honey combine to gracefully blur the line between stout and strong ale. Notes of roasted sugar, pecan, and fig gently emanate from one of our most treasured blending projects. Inside Scoop: Cellar Cuvee 1 came about many years ago, when Brad was filling a bourbon barrel with Dark Apparition. He ran out of DA when the barrel was mostly full, but then topped the barrel off with a beer called Bee Keeper, the barrel-aged version of which is called Wood Ya Honey. Every year, we set out to blend our favorite barrels of BBDA and Wood Ya Honey to pay homage to one of our original bourbon barrel-aged blends. 2019: 11.3% ABV 2021: 14.0% ABV 2022: 11.4% ABV
