Description:
Our first batch of lager in the Vienna style showing a copper amber hue with rich malty tones. The lager yeast strain works slowly at lower temperatures versus an ale. This beer was "lagered" for over six weeks before filtering and serving on tap. Our Rogers Lager is a classic German style beer using both Munich malt and genuine Hallertauer hops. Lagers emphasize clean flavors and crisp qualities rather than the fruitiness of an ale styled beer. Prost! to our first lager and many more lager styles to follow. The Rogers pharmacy was located on the corner of Mangum/Parrish streets for over fifty years. It was a Saturday meeting place for the community and where everyone was shopping for sundries as well as medicines. Have a dose of our "medicine" as we remember the legendary Rogers family and drug store.
