Malty dark ale with some complexity that is flavorful and character that exhibits a mild smoke character. It is very dark brown in appearance with ruby color highlights with minimum hop flavor. Hints of chocolate and coffee in the nose, finishing with a medium body, and a full tan colored
head. More aggressive than a standard porter. This beer
pairs well with roasted or smoked foods like barbecue,
sausages, roasted meat and blackened fish. A portion of
sales go to support the creation of a preservation fund
for the historic 300+ years-old Brock’s Mill located in
Trenton, North Carolina.
