Rye is a hardy northern grain that is able to grow in harsher, colder, tougher conditions where others can’t survive., much like the mountain men of the new world. Free Trappers were men who lived off the wilderness using their own skills to survive the tough environment completely independent from others. Scandinavia is a perfect place to grow rye because of its ability to thrive in this rugged region, just like the trappers of the past. Spicy, sharp aromas come creeping out of this dry, easy drinking pale ale that is made for the people of the North. Peace, love and beer!
