66 Visited 12/1/2023. Nice brewery restaurant setting next to the brewery (which was closed for refurbishment). Large selection of house beers on offer though generally quite safe style wise. Only a short visit so just got to try a couple and they were both fine. Service was friendly but slow. |
70 Might be considered more as a restaurant with a brewery than a brewpub. The food is normally great both for lunch and dinner and it’s possible to just sit down in the bar area for a beer or three, but the quality of the beer is closer to average and not very challenging. It still feels a bit like when craft beer becomes popular in Denmark early 2000 when customers were searching for a wit, blond, pale ale and perhaps a Belgium dubbel. The most interesting brand might be Two Faces and it still feels a bit on the safer side. Then again, I believe this might be the kind of beers an average customer wants for their rye bread lunch or beef dinner. Service is spotless, possible for small samples and beer pricing is moderate. My personal recommendation is to go for a solid lunch and try a few random beers if not familiar with this brewery. |
72 A large place with a separate bar room for drinking. Outdoor seating close to the bar or along wooden benches and tables at C.W. Obels Plads. 15 of their own beers were available from taps at our stay, including brews from Two Face. Beers comes in different sizes with small tasting glass among them. Friendly and knowledgeable service offering tasters of their beers. (Visited with Norwegian friends attending Det 29. Nordiske Historikermøde in town, 16.08.2017). |
52 From a pure beer perspective, go somewhere else. The food is very good but the prices are on the high side. They have some beers which is brewed "inhouse". I would say that the beers are average, at its best. |
50 Nice atmosphere. Their selection consists of very traditional, and somewhat mediocre, beers. I only had peanuts, so I cannot comment on the food. Everything is rather pricy, especially considering the quality of their beers. Charging 50 kr for 4 cl of their eisbock is simply ridiculous. Not a place I am going to revisit. |
76 Nice brewpub, restaurant on one side and bar to the other. Sat in the bar.
Had a jomfruhumle for lunch, which was decent. Should have tried the IPA’s.
Only saw the bar-food menu, but that was good.
Nice ambience. Will definitely come back. |
66 When you enter, the restaurant is to the left and the Missing Bell Brewpub to the right. Hardly any tables available during lunch time this Saturday. I had time for one beer and chose "Harvest Beer". A rather dull beer as most Søgaards beers I’ve tried through the years. Nice place and 14 beers on tap makes this brewpub worth a visit. 50 Visited in August 2014. Large patio and indoor restaurant and bar. There was a tour of the brewery going on when I was there. Slow but helpful service, letting me charge my phone while waiting. Some friends of mine told me that Søgaard has degraded from their early days and now seem to list far more variety than they actually have. That being said, they had the only beer that I had time for. |
50 Visited twice in summer 2014. Located in the old city centre, quite brew pub oriented ambience. Seems to be profiled as a gastropub, the food was quite ok. Only in house brew availiable. Some hits and misses noted in my book. Service was sadly poor though. We struggled hard to find someone that had time to get us more beer and even get paid for the meal and beer. Still, it is a place you should check out for some local beer ticks |
60 Food is ok. Service depends a bit, if they understand Norwegian or mistake me for a (God forbid) Swede... Their own beers are very good, and at good prices. |
