Interessant local “old school” amb una gran selecció de cerveses. Preus cars. El servei pot millorar. Un lloc per anar sens cap dubte.

Bit of a dive, dark, old. Good, knowledgable service in the afternoon. Great selection, but, as others have said, quite expensive.

Focus on British new wave and American breweries, with a really good selection. The sad thing is that the prices are rather high compared to other places in Amsterdam, but then again at a quite typical level, considering the price of US beers in general around Europe. Quite a dark place, which made you want to choose seating to where there was some lightsource close. Good and fast service. Did have some cheeses, which made good companions to the beers enjoyed.

Visited during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2015. Easy enough to find. I really looked forward to this one but I wound up having some mixed feeling. It has an enjoyable enough dive-bar feel. The thing that bothered me is how crazily sticky the bar was, they must spill beer everywhere all of the time. I wound up being so sticky just sitting there, unpleasant really. The ground was even worse, I put down a plastic bag & it was just black on the bottom when I picked it up. Selection was quite varied & interesting (people told me that it doesn’t change much). The prices were very high. Good selection but you need to pay through the nose. They had a bottle list but the prizes there were just outlandish really, so high even that it basically didn’t matter to me that they have those beers. It is a tickers bar with some fun things to try but the place was just so sticky & expensive. I sort of liked it but only partially so.

Got to know this a while ago thanks to Ster, who runs the place; impressive in embracing the American craft beer culture more so than any other place in the Low Countries, with ever-changing taps, which also include American-style craft beers from other countries. Not cheap, very (if not overly) busy at times and I cannot imagine spending a whole night here when it is as crowded as it was last Friday, especially not when herds of drunken tourists populate the place (and spill beer everywhere, I will not go into the details concerning the ’look and feel’ of this pub after such a night...). I will, however, go back for sure, for the sheer quality and quantity of their taps - another feature seldomly seen outside of the States. A whole experience, that is for sure.

Besökt sent på kvällen, mycket folk och trängsel. Ganska mörka interiörer.
Fantastiskt utbud både på fat och flaska till helt ok priser.

Visited couple if times on weekend, not a big place but most of the time I’ve find empty tables even if we were more than two. Selection is really good, dutch, belgian, mostly american, scandinavian beers, quite good ones, plus lots of bottles. Prices are quite OK as well. Service is great, staff is friendly and helpful. Taps are not changing that often, need to wait at least a month to find more new ones. A must visit in Amsterdam.
