| theoncle (12), Barcelona, Spain | | April 13, 2012 Totes les cerveses belgues que vulguis, vasos, copes, etc...però el preu es elevat. | | maxyeti (10), , France | | March 3, 2012 Good choice, but a little bit too expensive | | Fin (243), Merton, Oxfordshire, England, England | | December 19, 2011 Popped in here on Friday 16th December 2011. Great selection of beers, though having shopped at Dranken Geers earlier in the day it was easy for me to resist the temptation, though I did notice Westvleteren 8 at 9 euros which whilst pricey isn’t anywhere near as pricey as I’ve seen it in Amsterdam. We picked up a glass for my dad, replacing one which he’d recently broken ’Troublette’ I think it was. The lady/owner was really helpful wrapping this and then a small T shirt (not purchased here) along with a pink Delerium elephant (purchased here) for my brothers new-born baby, she couldn’t have been more helpful even giving me a silly Santa hat to wear. For a city centre store this was much better than I was expecting and compared to others that I nosed in, it was also far, far better. Ok so it is probably a little pricey, but one can imagine the rental prices in this area would be astonomical and if on the search for the odd bottle I would have no hesitation in recommending this place. | | Bucky9z (10), Wisconsin | | November 27, 2011 This beer store has perhaps the best location in all of Brussels, being located right next to the Grand Place. It stands out versus any of the neighboring beer stores, because it has a much better selection and far better prices. The beers are well organized, and there is a great variety offered. There are not too many truly rare Belgian beers, but all of the high-quality staples and some rarer beers can be found. The store is usually filled with tourists, some with no idea what they want to get. At the same time, it is a fairly relaxing experience choosing between all of the beers, and there is also a fantastic (but slightly overpriced) selection of glasses available. If you are looking for Westvleteren beers, this is one of the two locations in Brussels (the other being Beer Mania) where they are frequently for sale. The Westy 12 will run about 11 euros a bottle though, so instead take the trip to Poperinge/Westvleteren if you have an extra day and buy it from In De Vrede. A good beer store, and worth a visit if you are in Brussels. | | Rastacouere (581), Montréal, Quebec | | November 3, 2011 The most visible of three central beer stores in brussels, Bier Tempel has a very good selection, often including the Westys and beautifully displayed to impress the constant flow of tourists rushing in. COnsidering the prime location, the prices are not all that outrageous even though they may be the worst in Belgium. If you’re only in Belgium for a day, it makes sense to shop here, but if you’ll get out of Brussels, you’ll find a much cheaper basket.
| | ChrisSchill (10), , Belgium | | November 3, 2011 The selection there is very good but the prices are exorbitant. It is fucking expensive! It’s mainly made for tourists. | | kjc51478 (28), Cologne, Germany | | October 1, 2011 Touristy Belgian beer shop a stone’s throw from the Grand Place. First off, I found the selection to be excellent - slightly better than Beer Planet and other shops except with non-Belgian beers. The day we were there, they even had Westvleteren 12, 8, and Blond for sale. Was slightly disappointed in the relative lack of rarer beers though. Prices were definitely on the expensive side, but not much different than most other stores in Brussels. Although it certain is catering to the tourist, beer lovers will definitely feel at home here. | | Indutiomarus (36), Idar-Oberstein, Germany | | September 26, 2011 Over priced tourist trap | | TheTrooper (12), , Belgium | | September 4, 2011 Rather big beer store near Grand’Place with a large selection of belgian beers but.... how fucking expensive !!! They must have an exorbitant rent, as they are very well located, but prices are way too high.... | | ontbeermaker (127), Ontario | | September 2, 2011 Good selection here. A little bit small but lined with interesting beers. This is where we found westy 12 for 10 euros which is as cheap as we found it on the trip. I would saw we saw it at about 5 or 6 different places as well. We didnt really find any really rare here but we did find some you cant get in north america. Overall a decent beer store and one I would go to again |
