Brilliant place, great atmosphere. More than decent draught selection. The difference between downstairs and upstairs is striking. Visited during RBESG 2014. Thanks for showing us this place, Ruth!

A former national pub of the year when it was, in my opinion, not the best in London. This is tiny, the beer range has improved and is worth the couple of minute stroll from Charing Cross. Dark Star beer featured heavily but a few guests too. Beer I had in good nick. Worth a look as handy for The pigeons in Trafalgar Square. Gets really busy in the post work rush and you’ll likely fight your way to the bar and drink on the street

Seemingly busy at all times, slightly better chance of a seat upstairs. Good focus on the beer in terms of selection, rotation and condition. Almost guaranteed to try something new. On my first visit a couple of years ago there were mice, which sort of added to the ambiance in a way...

Great pub. Buzzing with early evening drinkers. 15 ales on hand pump none if the usual suspects service amazingly fast considering how busy it was.

Nice pub with excellent service and good selection of keg and cask ales. Pretty busy but not hectic or noisy. Wanted to return after dinner from the excellent tapas bar opposite of Harp but they had to close due to a power outage. Bad luck.

I big long bar that was packed downstairs. Went upstairs and found a quiet room. Service was friendly and quick.

Visited early on Saturday as part of a crawl round Covent Garden and nearby on 16/8/14. The Harp oozes character and is possibly the best pub in London if you get there before the crowds and sit by the big window at the front. Loved the "football free zone" posters. Great service and a good selection of cask beers and the odd keg. I read with consternation that Fullers have bought the pub though as Fullers beers are very mediocre compared with the Dark Star and other beers currently on offer in the Harp

A very crowded long bar with a quieter room upstairs. Service is surprisingly good for the amount of people around. Beers are decent, but nothing exciting, it must be said thought, they know how to take care of casks. The best pours so far.

A lovely traditional little pub just off the Strand and close to Trafalgar Square. The Harp has long been known for its well-kept beer and good range so there was much consternation when it was announced recently that the longstanding landlady was selling up. We visited less than a week after it was taken over by Fuller’s and I’m happy to report that the new manager told us the only change was that two Fuller’s taps had been installed but the rest would continue to feature interesting beers from other breweries. The beer was, as before, in excellent condition. It can get very crowded because it’s right in the heart of the tourist area and the bar is quite small but there’s another comfortable room upstairs which seems to be less well used.
