The beers were good all 4 of them. They were out of 2. I expected more. The was good, my burger could have used some seasoning while cooking.

A fun brewpub (one of the few) in downtown Cincinnati in Fountain Square. A decent sized place with a long bar and plenty of tables, though it fills up pretty quickly. Tap list features 5 regulars (kolsch, witbier, red, ipa, and a "dark" that rotates) plus at least a couple seasonals (pumpkin ale, winter wheat, brandy barrel aged triple) and a couple of cask options. So really, there is plenty of beer options (I came here on 2 separate occasions and still did not sample everything). Food menu is pretty good (I’ve had the hazelnut crusted chicken, which is pure awesomeness, and the crab and artichoke dip which is pretty good). All in all, had a fun time and the beer was good. Please don’t pass over this one just because it’s a chain-the beer is well made and they put out some interesting seasonals.

Came here on a Sunday at 3pm after an early job. Great decor and environment, good lighting. Great service, very friendly and seemingly knowledgeable at the bar. They offered me a sample without any solicitation. Nothing on tap besides their own brews, which I’m fine with... Didn’t try the food. I liked it, and plan on returning.

Great place for a burger. We sat on the patio and our server was always around when we needed something. My burger was awesome and my wife got some seafood tacos which were also awesome. Not alot of food for the price though.

It has a lodge like appearance and feel to it. Not much selection at all at this one and the food wasn’t that good.

The food is enjoyable, the beers weren’t anything extra special, but still very drinkable. the service was really great.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon on a recent visit to downtown Cincinnati. Excellent, friendly service who waited on us right away. Normal line-up of beers (lager, wheat, pale ale, etc), plus as a bonus they had a cask conditioned pale ale. I had a seasonal fire chief ale and the cask conditioned ale and both were enjoyable. The food was top notch -- much better than I expected. We had a couple of special dietary requests and they were more the happy to comply. Will definitely be seeking this place out again next time I’m downtown Cincinnati.

November 2009 -- I like some of the Rock Bottoms, but this was probably the worst visit I’ve had to one in 10 years. Beers sucked. Didn’t eat. Nice location and I’d give them another chance though because despite the madness, the bartenders were OK. The waitresses on the other hand ...

Part of the Rock Bottom chain, right on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. In-house beers aren’t bad, if not particularly special. Food is above average bar fare with no standouts, but I’ve never been disappointed. $2 drafts during happy hour.

Very nice brewpub. Great location, right in Fountain Square. Nice big place, had about 8 beers on tap when we were there in 2000. Was there for the launch of rocktoberfest, got free samples , very cool. Great place to go before Reds games, within walking distance (did it three days in a row). Check it out when in town.
