Shangy’s The Beer Authority

CHECK THE DATES if they’re still on.. I was going there all the time buying beer at full price that was WAY OUT OF DATE one was from 2021! This review is 6/2023 When mentioned to the staff they had to text to see if it was ok to discount, then said they usually don’t do it but will. Then said well we have plenty of beer that not out of date.., and honestly said “ we put that out there for people that don’t check the dates” AT FULL PRICE!! We’re talking $26 a 4 pack.. I’m all about local business not shady business. Every beer I get from there now I feel is out of date and something could be wrong with it.totally ruined the experience.. I have gotten a bad one.. and one I bought that night had no date and I feel Was bad as well. It was so carbonated it was like drinking champagne and had weird aftertaste. Do better that’s not ok business..

Best Beer Distributor on the East Coast. Phenominal selection w knowledgeable staff. When you walk in there’s a blue neon sign "Welcome To Beer Heaven".

Ambiance - it’s a beer showroom, not like many other beer distributors, where you walk into a dark and dank big cellar. Pleasing area to buy beer. Service - is knowledgeable, the staff working in the office dealing with Wholesale accounts were very friendly and helpful, really wanted to do business with me. Selection - huge amounts, I think the amount of bottles is inflated, they may have 3000 cases, but not 3000 different cases. Value - overpriced, and that’s not really debatable. Kind of is the nature of the game, when you own all the rites to everything. Honestly, it’s got everything, but when you know from a business standpoint how they do business, it’s not as glamorous. The owners are shrewd and puffy. Not a fan of that. All in all, I love the selection, the showroom, and the staff - I do however have objections of their bully business approach.

My systers boyfriend works here and has told many great things about this place and always is bringing me beer to try.... Can't wait to visit the place myself

Have been going to Shangy's for 15 years since it was a shack on the side of the road, wow how they have grown. Best selection in the area. An asset to the LV and worth the trip.

Would visit when in the area for work. Awesome selection of both micro and imports. The owner is usually too busy to be bothered with any customers. There is one female counter staff who is nice, the other one don't even bother with, must be related to the owner? Nice selection but when I drive all the way from Maryland I expect too be treated better.

Keg heaven!!!! Rows and rows, aisles and aisles of kegs! And on top of the vast selection, they are priced very reasonably! The next time I head down, I will be bringing a truck and stocking up on sixtels. Staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient while we looked through their back freezer. Great place.

Amazing selection. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Best PA has to offer. Also, prices are $5-$10 less on most cases.
