Very nice historical brewery with the tables between the copper plants. Staff is very friendly and proud of their products. Selection is limited to local production, but covers all the typical styles. Beers tate good and are quite cheap. Food is also good (local specialities) but quite overpriced.

Although Munich breweries do it in the best possible way they can’t keep up with brewpubs. There are quite a few of them in Munich. This one is like Hacker-Pschorr - a brewpub owned by a big brewery. They brew it on spot and the difference is huge. Just 2 brews, but none of which will disappoint you.

Huge building; with beer garden and giant rooms. Food looked great, packed on a late midweek afternoon. House brewed Thomas Zwickl was excellent. I’ll be back for sure.

Visited the Brauhaus for dinner. We began at the Biergarten & tried some of the special brews. They were really excellent. But unfortunately you need to come all the way to the Brauhaus to try them. Had the chance to meet the master brewer. He experiments a lot with a mix of hops, both from America & Europe. The restaurant was big & filled with a lot of wood work. It had a traditional touch to it but the presentation of the food etc: were as if you were in a restaurant gastronomique. The food was excellent but it comes with a price tag too. The service was a bit slow at times. A place to visit if you would really like to taste innovative beers from Paulaner.

Took a glass of the Zwickl and another Ü-50 (a roggenbier), and was not disappointed. Nice friendly bartenders, quick service. Food was great, they have good bayerischen spezialitäten. Not a cheap place, but, hey, you are in München!

Waitress was attentive and quick. Typical wooden tables of a beer hall. They brew for the public every first Wednesday of the month. Prices were higher because of Munich, but not insane. 4 euros for ,5 L. Food was very good. Was pretty empty on a Wednesday early evening.

A classic, traditional beer hall with good food. Service isn’t the best, but this isn’t uncommon for Munich. They always have some brews you only get here, but usually aren’t much better than their common stuff. As this is located slightly far off, I would only recommend this if you are interested in their special brews or if you want to try all major Munich brewpubs anyway. Otherwise you can just choose one of the many beer halls in the old town, as they offer the same: decent beer, quite affordable food and traditional atmosphere.
