Birrificio Livigno

Da visitare, davvero ottimo cibo, classico da steakhouse ma con aggiunte riguardante birra e luppolo all’interno degli stessi piatti che si tratti di carni o salse o contorni, cortesi, bellissimo locale.

A must visit when in town. Four beers ranging from mediocre (weizen) to superb (IPA, smoked), lovely food (pizza, beef with grilled vegetables, potato soup with chicken curry), able and fast service, reasonable prices. The drawback is the ambience. I don’t like country music but here it was a salvation from the horrible Bavarian schnulzen with which it was alternating. Also, the floor was deliberately littered to the maximum with nutshells. While this may be original, it is far from aesthetic. I thought initially I was treading on straw in a barn before I saw what it actually was.

more for tourists than the beer entusiast, decent to good beers and good food, just a bit to classy and impersonal anyway if you pass by livigno a place to be.

Allora, bisogna scostarsi un attimo dalla concezione di brewpub che abbiamo, e vederlo di più come un pub da battaglia come gli altri... Le birre non sone sempre presenti tutte, ma devo dire che di particolri difetti non ne hanno... La scelta di cibo all’interno del locale non è molto vasta, anche se io ho bevuto solo 2 birre al banco e ho fatto riferimento all’aperitivo che c’era sul bancone! Il locale non è male, ma vederlo desolato mi ha messo un po di malinconia! Spero la prossima volta di trovare il personale un po più preparato...

This place is quite big. They say it is the highest beer in Europe. Their pizzas are quite good. Most of the beer sucks though. The service was in the beginning acceptable, but when we payed the waiter withdrew 100 € too much. He was very sorry and humble afterwards. The place is located nicely in walking distance of the Mottolino ski area, which is half of the entire Livigno ski area. Obviously a good place for afterski-beer-consumption.

At 1816msl it’s supposed to be the highest beer in Europe.
The beers are pleasant, quite sweet, yet not adventurous. Some traditional snacks are very good.

Livigno is an important ski resort in the Alps, and probably the longest village in Europe (12 kilometres!).
