78 Located in a busy area, street parking, inside "Old Chicago" feel long bar, Beers we tasted were all good. Staff was nice to us. My fav were the 2 doppelbocks variants and stouts. |
54 Either this place has changed a lot for the worse since Covid, or this is very different from the Bridgman, MI location. When I visited the MI location, they had lots of big hoppy stuff and big stouts. This place had none of that -- just lots of lighter stuff, and a few cloyingly sweet, egregious things, including a horrendous Rum BA Tiki blonde that was truly awful. Pleasant service and a nice taproom, but all 4 beers we samples were underwhelming/terrible. A disappointing experience. |

78 Visited in the afternoon. Large brewpub with a large bar. There is a back room with a bar as well, but it was closed for the private event. As mentioned with TVs and football going on it has this sports bar feel to it which I don't particularly dig. Lots of their own beers on taps, the Marzen I've tried wasn't that good. Worth checking out. |
80 Visited here in early August '19 for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Wide open space, has a sports bar kind of feel to it, large bar area, plenty of booths and tables, outdoor seating as well. Have about 25 of their own on tap, a few in cans of their own and a guest tap or two. The ones we had were pretty solid. Solid Chicago menu, brats, burgers and such. Service was prompt and friendly. |
88 Visited on Monday night (late afternoon), June 2018. Dark inside with TV screens. Busy both inside and outside. Service was good even if it was busy. 22 of their own beers on tap. Flights available. Most of the beers I tried were good. Didnt try the food. I would go again for sure. |
88 Brew pub with a good quality beer. They got a few awards for they product. Nice is that you can see a brewery by the window. I notice that, in American bars you can find a lot of Belgian bottles. |
78 A busy place in downtown Chicago. Rather packed when I visited, and it is a large place. Lots of TVs, sports bar like atmosphere. Large tap list, some interesting offerings, and all beers were solid. The coffee pale ale and IPL with elderflower were standouts. I did not order any food. Service was great, despite how busy the place was. I wouldn't say the beer is crazy good, but it's solid and certainly worth a stop. |
82 9/19/18: Stopped in at lunch time for a few pints. Nice bar and dining area, you can see the brewing vats sealed in glass behind the dining area. Didn't grab a bit but the few brews I had were solid. Not very crowded, service was great and had a good conversation with the bartender about craft beers and different breweries. Glad I had a chance to stop in, and will definitely return. |
78 Large, darkish place with a patio; 23 own beers on tap plus a bunch of bottles, a full bar; in walking distance from downtown hotels; good burger, cheese and sausage plate just ok |
