74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 JStax (72) Devola/Marietta, Ohio | April 18, 2013 Stopped in on a Sunday evening. Decent amount of parking one of the quieter roads in town. It’s pretty much a convenience store, but has a huge beer selection in coolers taking up two walls and then a couple aisles of beers. Plenty of the usual suspects. Even though this was the last beer store on my list of places to go, I found a few beers here I didn’t find anywhere else in town. It’s a decent little shop. | 88 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 20/20 bfutrell (4) | June 24, 2011 Great selection | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 lancehenry (16) , | May 14, 2011 200 plus btls? I’d say that’s accurate. Great selection of Bells, Avery, Stone and Dark Horse. Was quite pleased to find some Alesmith while there. Service was great. The young guy working was very helpful. Would go back for sure on my next visit. Not sure what jrallen was talking about in the previous review! | 34 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 8/20 jrallen34 (271) Chicago, Illinois | March 31, 2011 I’m in Columbus for Holiday so I thought I would check out the two highest rated beer stores. Pulled up the place and like most posters didn’t expect much. When I got inside my hunch was sadly confirmed.
The selection was ok, a couple stone and alesmith but very limited. The beers were spred out through the store impossible to find and most of the beers were in coolers which is a huge no-no.
The famous 6 pack mix and match was a joke as it was all just crappy micro’s. They tease you by placing them next to a nice selection of singles that would make you drool if it was included.
Overall, a very subpar store that I would not visit unless it was very close. Surely, don’t go out of your way. | 74 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 MbpBugeye (22) Columbus, Ohio | January 16, 2011 This is a pretty decent shop. I dont always find myself headed to Kenny Road Market but once in a while Ill venture over here, just to change things up. This is a really good store if you are looking for stuff sold in bombers. They also have just about every thing Bell’s. The guys here are big Bell’s fanbois. I like checking out their European selections. They have lots of things you dont hear about here in the states. A good place for English session ales or German wheats. | 66 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 sparksjustin (11) Columbus, Ohio | November 25, 2010 This place has a lot of bottles and you can sometimes find old stuff here. Good old stuff and bad. | 62 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 weihenweizen (93) Charleston Area, West Virginia | January 3, 2010 Good selection of beer that is mostly refrigerated. Atmosphere is not that great, but you are buying for somewhere else. If you are in the area check out their selection. | 78 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 Alerider (41) Indianapolis, Indiana | September 22, 2009 Fabulous beer selection with many exotic micros and imports. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but worth a stop. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 JaBier (69) Capital City, Ohio | October 25, 2008 Renowned as one of the best places to buy beer in the city. Ambience is about average with most customers way more interested in purchasing lottery tickets and renting u-hauls than buying good beer. Service is a bit sketchy. Most of them aren’t terribly knowledgable on the beer, but one or two of them can speak to it. Selection is very good. Mostly cold, but some of the better stuff (Alesmith, Stone, Rogue) is available warm or cold. Pretty decent place. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 BeerVirgin72 (96) Pickerington, Ohio | December 30, 2007 Stopped in here for the first time tonight with a group of locals. Seemed nice enough. Good selection of cold beers and those in singles and on the shelf. Lots of beers I had never heard of or seen in other local stores. |
