| Lubiere (177), Ottawa, Ontario | | August 30, 2009 Visited on august 16, 2009. The new pub is not finished, but they are serving beer (kitchen should open in a few months..they where serving warmed hot-dogs for 5$). I was told this will be a quite modern place, with heated seats for winter months....but right now, it is still makeshift, but very promising. They do offer a sampler of their regular beers, but, asking very nicely, i managed to get the seasonals and one-offs, alas in plastic 5 on cups...free peanuts, live music on the terrasse, friendly service by tattooed maidens...its all good. | Homerlikebeer (1), Petaluma, California does not count - explanation | | August 26, 2009 Within walking distance from work, we had always dreamed of a day when we could go over for a beer after work. Now its here, with their new patio. Nicely landscaped yard with a small stage for bands to play. They had at least 7 beers on tap and another 5-6 in bottles avail. Sassy but quick waitress kept em coming. $4/12 oz plastic cup was better than the $5 I was expecting. Someone had a bad sandwich, but they are remodeling and adding a kitchen as I type this. They also have comp peanuts & pretzels. So my food review should change shortly.
The tour is great, they keep pouring as long as you keep drinking. Sometimes they pull out some pretty cool/unexpected stuff. | | SamGamgee (86), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California | | August 2, 2009 Before visiting lagunitas during RBSG, I was admittedly on the fence about there beers. I still just think that they are OK to good, but damn, I love the brewery. The little patio setup is very relaxing, and we got one of the most fun tours ever. If you thought the Censored (Kronic) label was telling, just wait until you see the brewery. They also have an amazingly high-tech and awesome looking brew system that is really cool to check out if you are into the more technical side of things. Walking through everything is like exploring a steel cave. I’m still trying to figure out how they got all that stuff in there. Nice guys too, and they put out a great spread of complimentary beers for us. | | wavers1 (32), novato, California | | July 31, 2009 thier new ’beer oasis’ is the bomb, and the beer is cheap and good! nuff said. | larryLSB (6), La Selva Beach, California does not count - explanation | | July 12, 2009 Stopped by on the RBSG tour. This place has a real funky feel to it, which I really like, and a nice outside garden area to hang out in. Very generous with the beer and an excellent tour of the facility, The brewhouse is very impressive. worth making a stop if you are in the area. | | IrishBoy (65), Bakersfield, California | | July 12, 2009 The guys showed us great hospitality and shared some great beers nand even a free glass on the RBSG tour! | | Ramenen (18), San Salvador, El Salvador | | July 10, 2009 You actually visit the industrial compound of the brewery. Do not expect a brew pub or beer bar, you are at the factory and the tastings are in a small, cozy, second floor room. I arrived late , and could not do the tour. However, the staff (Ron) was very nice, and he let us sample the beers and gave us a couple of bottles to take home. They are actually opening a brew pub next thurdsay so things will change a lot. | | dchmela (52), Orlando, Florida | | July 8, 2009 Great brewery, a little hard to find. Make sure to be there at three for the tour (we got there early and had to go to a local sports bar until the tour started). They are very accomodating in the tasting room, giving you samples and anything else they have on tap. The tour guide was also very knowledgable about the beers (she knew the hop varieties for all of the beers). The facility is small, but you can tell they have a lot of fun. A must visit! | | Beardface (35), Eugene, Oregon | | May 11, 2009 Extremely hard place to find with a GPS, and then kind of tough to find the area for the tour once you get in there, but oh that tour! Easily the best brewery tour I’ve ever been on, and the only one (besides Rogue I guess) that lets you in on the ground floor. The tour guide was incredibly friendly and informative, and gave us a ton of free samples, including Hairy Eyeball and Hop Stoopid. Lots of free pretzels as well. One of the employees was a Eugene native, so we hit it off immediately and had a great talk about home. Also picked up a case of bombers of Hop Stoopid for barely over 2 bucks per bottle. I will visit this place anytime I’m in NorCal again. | | Braudog (478), Dayton, Ohio | | April 10, 2008 [ Updated April 13, 2008 ] April 2008 We popped in on this industrial micro unannounced and at least an hour off their advertised tour timeline. But nonetheless, we were greeted with warm receptiveness and an impromptu short tour of their bulging-at-the-seems brewery. What a friendly crowd! An original micro, growing so much they’re stretching their waist size, but still living up to the small guy cool factor (What we wished Sierra Nevada was like). All the way nice. Lagunitas is now officially my default Fridge IPA. Way to go. (Brewery #456, 4/10/2008) |
