74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 Westmeister (53) Atlanta, Georgia | October 15, 2012 Stopped here for some breakfast grub before going hiking. Didn’t by any beer, but looked at the selection which was just as nice and large as any Whole Foods. If you are in town and can only get here to buy some bottles you will not be dissapointed. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 rondphoto (31) Lakeside Park, Kentucky | October 13, 2012 This feels like markets did when I gre up in the 50’s-60’s. No they don’t have tons of beer, but they do have a fantastic selection of North Carolina beers, many available as single bottles. If you want the local stuff, this is the place to go. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 magsinva (125) Virginia | August 18, 2012 Cramped! Very lived in whole foods in disguise. Had some national crafts that hadn’t heard of and a few locals that I haven’t seen elsewhere. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 b3shine (179) Cincinnati, Ohio | July 9, 2012 Just a grocery store that has a decent bottle selection with some growlers brought in fresh weekly. Okay, but I’d only go on days the growlers come in or if I was already shopping there, as there are plenty of other options in the city. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 Guyute_Pig (42) Columbus, Ohio | March 13, 2012 Run of the mill Whole Foods selection. Nothing really special to be found, but they do have some really good sales. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 beernovice39 (196) Montana | February 26, 2012 Another whole foods. Decent selection but not as extensive as Florida. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 15/20 DiarmaidBHK (523) Pennsylvania | December 22, 2011 This is one of the nicer beer selections I’ve seen at a Whole Foods. It’s basically a chain of organic, health food grocery stores. Of course, this being Asheville, you don’t see a lot of iconography announcing the store as a Whole Foods and the building somehow blends into the environment. It’s not far from downtown Asheville. As others have noted the parking sucks so get there early. They have a lot of bombers and a few seasonal locals I haven’t seen at the other local bottle shops. They had a guy buzzing around the beer section but he didn’t seem super approachable. Still they have a fantastic selection and the prices, even by Asheville standards, are really good. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 16/20 djpaige (13) Michigan | June 19, 2011 Big chic grocery store atmosphere (which seems like an oxymoron until you step in). Great beer selections tucked in the back, especially local fare. Was a little crowded with narrow isles making it hard to stand and stare at the product. Great pricing on their diverse selection. Service was typical of a big grocery store: hit and miss (but friendly when found). | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 demdeac40 (5) Etowah, North Carolina | April 17, 2010 Great place for both food and beer. Even some nice wine if you so desire. Nice selection and changing all the time. You can usually find the latest special release or seasonal offerings. | 40 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 10/20 berikso (3) South Carolina | February 14, 2010 Not a beer store, a health food store first an for most. Good selection of craft brews, not many large formats, no draft. Pretty average in comparison with other corporate health food stores i.e world market, but really no sales people to really geek out with. A decent place to grab a 6-pack. |
