68 /100 Batesville Liquor Co. (Beer Store) 315 BATESVILLE SHOPPING VILLAGE I stopped in here after visiting Lil Charlies to see if I could find some local brews. Score! But the best part was finding some Thomas Hardy Ale. Wasn't expecting that. All the rest is normal liquor store, but was pleased with what I found. |
74 /100 504 E PEARL ST Quaint place in a quaint little town. About what you'd expect for the interior for a small family restaurant. Fast, friendly service. The chili really hit the spot. Good beer, well with the short drive from the highway. |
78 /100 504 E PEARL ST It’s a little place, very local feel. We’re glad we stopped in. The food was great and they had five beers on their lineup. Very light beers ranging from 25-65 IBUs. The waiting staff was great and we really enjoyed the food. It was a good stop on our way. |
76 /100 504 E PEARL ST Cozy old frame building with bar and tables, also outside patio. Service was quick and friendly, beer flights are available very inexpensively, and the selection includes 4 Lil’ Charlie brews along with 10 orther foreign/regional choices. Great place in a small town. |
68 /100 504 E PEARL ST Well, they were out of three house beers, but made it up with other Indiana beers. Nice service. I ate the wings and they were good. Locals are funny. Some dude just got called out for being baked and he tried to play it off legit by accusing the lady of being a cop. Nice! |
64 /100 504 E PEARL ST Stopped by here on a Saturday, on my way to Indianapolis for a day trip. This is a perfect stop for that purpose, being pretty much halfway between Indianapolis and Cincinnati. They have 5 house beers on tap (although they were out of the IPA during my visit), and a selection of other taps that I didn’t take a hard look at. Inside the place is pretty nice, has kind of like a Max & Erma’s type restaurant feel to it. Me and robotopera selected a booth and looked at the menu for about 10 minutes, which was endless... Lots of good-sounding foods to choose from here. I went with the Turkey Cobb sandwich, was very satisfying (and large!). Prices were reasonable. Service was solid. Beers were hit and miss. Overall, would stop by here again for food if I’m hungry next time I’m trekking out to Indy, but now that I’ve had 4 of their flagship beers I’ll be surprised if there’s much more for me to try beer-wise next time. It’d be nice to see some more variety and interesting beers offered on tap here, maybe more of a wider selection of house beers... There’s certainly space for more house brews on tap at the bar. |
72 /100 504 E PEARL ST Somewhat out of the way location near downtown Batesville. Nice, cozy décor, good service. In addition to their own brews and some macros, stuff from 2 or 3 other good breweries, including two from Sun King. House beers were on the light side but good within their parameters. Fairly extensive menu, and my fish and chips were tasty. Recommended if you’re in the mood for a change of pace from urban brewpubs. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area or passing by on I-74. |
70 /100 504 E PEARL ST Stopped in on my from Cincinnati to Bloomington. The selection is pretty limited (at least of their own; they have 5 of theirs in addition to others), but the atmosphere is nice, at least in the bar area. Staff are alright, but it was the daytime and they were dealing with ordering and other things besides me. I didn’t eat, but they do serve food. Not sure if I’ll be back since they don’t have too much of a beer rotation, but worth at least one stop. |
82 /100 504 E PEARL ST This is more of a small town restaurant than a brewery. Lots of townsfolk were gathered here to eat lunch. I will say the food is absolutely excellent. I had an amazing portabello monte cristo and shared a bit of black and bleu salmon. The brewing operation is pretty small and very stock. They only have four house brews all of which are very pedestrian styles and I don’t get the impression they rotate. I had the porter which I thought was quite good. There are a few guest taps, but the only one that I would consider buying would be Alpha King. The rest are major import names. This is a fantastic dinner spot, just don’t get too pumped about trying some different or rare beer. |
78 /100 504 E PEARL ST Small brewpub in downtown area. Have 5 beers of their own plus a fair selection of guest taps and bottles. Nice food - typical brewpub fare. Beers were nice. Definitely worth a stop. |
70 /100 504 E PEARL ST Nice little spot downtown....most of the place is a family eatery with small town feel....Pub area is nicely appointed, plain, but comfortable.....Staff is friendly, but a little lost when asked questions about the beers....Food is reasonably priced and excellent.
Wi-fi available......outside seating......only had a short visit....Beers were well done....loooking forward to a more review-geared visit soon..... |
