“Whirlwind tour of Northern Maryland breweries. Small storefront location, rustic interior. Short bar and a selection of tables. Good service. Flights available.“

“Located in a small business park, dedicated parking. Pretty simple and standard taproom, bar, tables, some outside seating available. Good, friendly service. Flights available. To-go product available in coolers. Beers average at best. Say hi to the inflatable sex doll. Other adult themed decorations may not be suitable for small children.“

“Newer construction out in the middle of nowhere. Dead when I arrived on a Thursday. Service was there, that's about it. Flights available, food...maybe. dedicated parking. Half of the taps are theirs, the others are guest. Be careful to ask first, not clearly labelled. Stop if driving by.“

“Driving near enough by so had to make the pit stop. Didn’t have time to truly peruse but a huge selection of brews. I bought some random foreign stuff rather hapahazardly but did find the Belgian brewery I wanted for region purposes. Staff not overly helpful but fine. Not the prettiest of places but that’s not why you come.“

“This place is legit! I can’t recall ever seeing a bigger selection, foreign or domestic. Every beer, yes EVERY, beer is available as a single. The only caveat is that many of the beers are sitting on warm shelves. I picked up one double IPA can with a canning date 10 months ago. Yikes. Stick to the coolers for the fragile beers and check dates. Otherwise this is a beer lovers paradise. Staff is helpful and prices are quite reasonable. No doubt I’ll be back.“

“This place is a damn beer museum. Off the highway hole in the wall. Not exactly the most updated space, but it looks just fine with all the beer they have. Enormous selection, including foreign brews, and they sell singles. Pet peeve - there is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to how the beer is laid. Not by region or by style. If you're in the area, a must stop, but give yourself plenty of time to peruse.“

“Located in the old Cecil Whig building. One large room, nice sized bar. High boy tables and some regular dining tables. Big windows looking out into the brewery area. Comfortable. Service was quite good considering the young lady was waitressing and bar tending. Tried two pints. Their flagship IPA and a NEIPA. Both beers playing it safe I guess you could say. Neither one real flavorful. I hear their darker brews are more tasty. Prices were a bit high TO ME considering the quality of the product but I also understand you have to pay the bills! Clean pissery, plenty of parking, looks pet friendly as well. Worth a stop if you’re in the vicinity. I may stop in again just to try something dark.“

“Cool Viking- esque ambiance. Table tops made to look like battle shields and other neat related items. Brand new building so clean all around including the pisseries. Service is pretty excellent, attentive and friendly. May not be beer knowledgeable but I rely on myself for that anyways. Beers are just okay and selection is limited. Only Three on tap the other day along with a couple guest taps. A Mead is always on tap also! Gotta keep that Viking theme alive! Food is solid pub grub. Smoked meats are the main stay. Decent place to stop by if yer in the area.“

“Nice selection of Belgians, pretty good selections of Germans, good selection of other euro beers, and pretty good selection of american. Ambiance is average to a bit run down, dedicated good size parking lot. I always find several beers here. Typically you can get some help if needed. Great quantity of beers. Pricing is pretty good. When going north on I-95 there is an $8 toll that you need to have cash if you do not have EZPass. My favorite bottle shop in MD. They have growler fills in the back right. I hope to come back.“

“What an awesome place. Just feet from the DE/MD state line, this place looks unsuspecting from the outside. Once you enter, you see a massive warehouse of stock. Humongous beer selection, with one of the best import selections I’ve seen anywhere in the US, including a fantastic lambic shelf, tons of European stuff (UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, and Germant are all extremely well-represented). All six-packs are break-up-able, which is excellent. They even have a very good mead selection. Very friendly and helpful service. They also have a growler station with tons of taps - you can sample some of them too. One of the best shops around and worth visiting if passing by.“

“I stopped here on my way to a show in Philadelphia. It’s reputation made me stop and I wasn’t disappointed. As I wound my way past a nice selection of non-alcoholic craft sodas and some macro beers I found a comprehensive assortment of German beers and styles, many I haven’t had and can’t get in my home state. I proceeded to a large assortment of Belgian style beers from Belgium and Italy. Next was some really obscure beers from England and Eastern Europe, countries that aren’t usually represented in my area. There were neat American craft breweries mixed in here and there, but there was a middle aisle the same size as all of the imports full of beers from the best breweries America has to offer. The mead section was as large as I’ve ever seen. I sadly had to pass on the mead because my grocery cart was already full and I was about to use up my beer drinking budget for the rest of the summer paying for it. And here is the best part, I ended up spending much less than I had managed to estimate in my head.“

“The really ugly exterior of this building does not reflect the magnificent selection of goods inside, which is a pity. The place is not there for decoration but could probably attract a larger audience with some renovation. The selection of beers is exceptional. You will find anything here, from small European batches to high-end American super brews. Wonderful! The only thing I missed though on my tour around the place were guiding signs. There is no information whatsoever about the order among the shelves or about the beers themselves. The bottles were mostly grouped brewer by brewer, but with several exceptions and in a seemingly random order. Of course, I could just ask one of the staff for guidance but I preferred to explore the place myself. The upside of this semi-chaos is that you encounter beers that you would not have seen otherwise. While the staffs around the beer shelves were very helpful the person at the cheese counter was not. Value is ok, not cheap but not expensive either. One sucky thing though, a single bottle of Delirium was registered as a four-pack. But mistakes happen and I should have paid attention to the total amount. Anyway, highly recommend anyone up for exploring great beer to go here. Congrats to the management and staff on a great place all in all!“

“Updated 5/16. Stopped here on the way back fro. DC. With the prompting of SLOTH. And support from the wife.. I entered the store after over a decade of absence. A fantastically stocked store that collectively surpasses my locals at home. Well, this is one of the best stocked areas that I have ever been to. The slob turned me onto this place years ago when I was living in Haveadisgrace. Beer tastings in the back room were always a hit. Keg selection is always above par. Robert has hooked me up manyu a time. Gotta get back there again with the slob.“

“You wouldn’t know it by looking at it, but this is an unassuming beer (and wine, if you are into that kind of thing) mecca. A lot has changed in the past decade, and the recent expansion seemed to be heavily in favor of expanding what was already a great beer selection. Plus, they put in growler fills with some pretty fun tap offerings. Staff always helpful and knowledgable, especially their beer guru Robert. If in the area, well worth a stop. Hell, well worth a dedicated trip! Give yourself plenty of time to browse--the place is decievingly large and packed with amazing beers.“

“Looks like one of those tin barn beer shacks on the way to the beach. But lo and behold, this is a beer mecca behind the exterior. Rows and rows of phenomenal domestic and imported beers, where you can break a pack to build your own. Good luck leaving in under an hour and under $100. Oh, and there is an automatic 15% discount at checkout by just saying "yes" to the discount club question. Awesome.“

“Such a deceiving exterior makes this place even better. A enormous selection of imports, tons of locals, you can split up 6’s, glassware and a new growler bar. Prices are good, but just get six bottles and the discounts start making this very well priced. Warehouse in feel, staff are pretty decent. This is a must stop.“

“A total gem of a place. State Line’s located in a shabby, unassuming building right off I-95. I was sort of shocked to find an impressively huge selection of domestic and international craft in such a crummy-looking store. The European selection’s particularly eye-catching. Loads of cool stuff from Scandinavia, Italy, and Belgium was available, including some beer that I had never seen stateside. A large selection of mead and cider’s (including ice cider!) offered too. Prices were solid, service was decent. Overall, legitimately one of the best stores I’ve been to in the states. A must stop place if you’re driving past on 95.“

“Unassuming shop from the outside with a nice selection of craft beer. I’m sure it would be easy to pass by if you didn’t know about them or the craft selection. Several rows of domestic and imported craft beer plus a growler station towards the back. Nice selection with possibly the best selection of Evil Twin and Mikkeller beers I’ve seen around the area. Singles are available and you can pick them out of the 4-6 packs. Good service with friendly and helpful staff. Some pricey items but pretty comparable prices for the area. Ample parking lot. Free club card gets you discounts of 10% and up. Well worth a stop if you’re passing through the MD/DE state line.“

“Weaver’s has increased their variety of the craft beer selection. It is now worth the stop. The biggest draw at Weaver’s is their wine selection. They have a large boat filled with wine at reduced prices. If you go there just ask where is the boat. Also the map on ratebeer is wrong.“

“2014.03.27 - My first visit. This place is 2:15-2:30hrs away from me but they were the only place on driving distance that had what I wanted, and they had several cases of it. It's not much for ambience, IMO, just nondescript open space but I'm here to buy beer, not take pictures for Better Homes and Gardens. Staff was both very helpful yet slightly annoying as they were constantly cutting down aisles where you are standing or cutting you off as they moved something on a hand truck. Selection was very good. Probably about 20% better than my go-to bottle shops. Definitely some things I don't see elsewhere, including the giant "novelty" bottles of things, and a better assortment of brewers you do see elsewhere. Probably the best Mikkeller selection I have seen. I bought a case of something, got a %15 discount. Grabbed 3x750ml and 1x500ml (which was $24.99) of something else. They signed me up for the loyalty/frequent club which saved me more. Saved over $50 on first trip. The case alone should have been $300 but my total ended up around $330. Definitely not convenient to me but close enough for an occasional visit. And I will certainly check with them if having trouble finding something.“

“Havent been in Vlamis for over 30 years, reasoning unnecessary. Nice clean place, decent layout, some beer shelves stacked way too high. "The Beer Room" was ok, small. Growler filling station a bonus, little pricy though. Was not asked if i needed help once. Not that it bothered me, but. Prices were fair and the lady at the counter was very pleasant. Decent selection, 1K bottles or so? Sixtel cooler was neat. Import selection was light. Not too shabby overall. will check back again in the future to see how things are going.“

Any time I have to drive through the area it’s a must stop to stock up random goodies I don’t have access to at home. “Re-rate 08/03/2013. Every time I go in here I am more and more amazed by how many beers they have. I’ve never met the owners, but the cashiers are always fast and friendly, the prices can’t be beat, and the beer selection could take hours to peruse in its entirety. This place, if I might be so bold as to sum it up it 3 words, "Kicks Fucking Ass", and that;s without any discussion of the wines, cheeses, and spirits (in the material world, Sting)“

“The store is a bit of a mess inside, this is due to the lack of dedicated single section. You’re supposed to grab what you want out of the packs, which creates a mess. This is awesome though at the same time, but it ruins the already bland ambiance.

The service was good, either the owner of manager was present and was super friendly. The selection was also pretty darn good, a nice variety of things all available at a relatively good price, though some things were definitely higher than what I’m used to in New Jersey,. What is great though is that if you sign up for a membership, which takes 10 seconds, then you get instant discounts on things.

Overall this is a necessary visit if you’re within the area. I’d say it’s worth stopping in at least once even if you’re two hours away.“

“Do not judge this book by it’s cover. Looks like your typical local liquor store from the outside, but inside this place is a gem. The selection is huge. Beer is somewhat organized by country. Has a great selection of American craft breweries and has the best import selection I’ve seen. Lots of meads as well if that is your thing. I knew what I was looking for, but they had a lot of people on staff and I was asked several times if I needed any help. The staff was very friendly and are happy to just talk beer if they aren’t too busy. Prices are reasonable and the free discount club takes an extra 10-15% off of everything as a great bonus. Definitely a bottle shop I wish I had in my backyard. I try to make the 2 1/2-3 hour round trip down from Central PA at least 2 or 3 times a year.“

“Does not look like much but a Schlitz and cheap booze haven on the outside, but believe me the inside is nirvana .... I cannot think of a place I have ever seen so many belgian beers being sold in one spot on a 20-30 foot stretch of shelving .... Huge selection of Italian beers ..... Added multiple countries in this store Eastern Block and Eastern European .... Nice selection of British (Some Vintages can be had), Dutch (DeMolen, Mikkeller) and German beers ..... US Micro ranges from the usual Stones and Rogues to rarities (New Belgium/Boulevard/Maui) for a PA guy like myself. They had a great representation of small and larger Maryland micros including Duclaw/Flying Dog/Stillwater .... Staff was friendly and helpful even recommending joining their price club for 10-15% off and they have wine, booze and foods like cheeses and munchies .... the prices were very reasonable .... this place is a must visit and a total gem“

“Easy to drive past the place; from the road it looks like a small shack selling cheap beer and discount cigarettes. Inside is a completely different story with many shelves and coolers dedicated to craft beer. Wide aisles that accommodate the carts available for shoppers. Great variety with a lot of imports; including lagers from numerous small countries for those looking to increase their rating count. Fair prices and right off I-95 for those in northern Maryland and Delaware or southeastern PA.“

“Scheduling did not permit a stop here on the way to Baltimore, but I made sure there was time to stop on the way home. The store is laid out nicely enough, American stuff in one area, the rest of the world somewhere else. Very nice selection of things here, lots of local beers. Picked up a bunch of Heavy Seas below decks stuff for a buddy, after even the brewery said they had none left. Also found a few interesting Belgians I hadn’t seen at any other shops around Baltimore, including some of the tougher to find Bon Chien things. Definitely will be stopping here again the next time I’m nearby.“
