“Brewdog bar with a nice 'local' feel to it. Must be a few EFPs living here so it's good they have such a tidy bar to drink in. Long, narrow space. Friendly welcome. Nice terrace out back. Food was decent“

“BrewDog's newest outpost is located in Inverurie town centre just beside the town hall and 1 minute away from the train station. It has taken over the building which once housed what I remember as being quite a small cafe. Size from outside is deceptive though. It it actually quite a long bar space. Is set up more like BD Castlegate with regards to lots of booths and larger tables for which they provide table service. They have some 22 taps of beer/cider and one fridge full of bottles & cans. I have been surprised by the range and quality of the beers to date, as new bars have typically had quite a safe range. Loads of small batch BrewDog and interesting guests. On my last visit there was a Platform takeover. Food is burgers - wings - salads. Always seems well staffed. Definitely has a more local feel to it and so far has been crazy popular. I am more than happy with my new BD local!“

Edwards (Bar)
2 WEST HIGH STREET
“Edwards is located right on the market square in Inverurie next to the Town Hall. It is perhaps best known as the local nightclub, but operates as a bar during the day. As well as the usual fizzy gear they have 2 cask ales, which at the moment tends to include one for Keith. They also have a pretty wide range of Keith and BrewDog in bottles. Service is friendly. Not a bad place and perhaps worth swinging by if you want to try to stuff from Keith.“

“Converted cinema, modestly sized Spoons, fairly central in town (not too far from the railway station). Not much else to be said really.“

“The Gordon Highlander is located a couple of minutes walk west along the main high street from the town square. It is not much to look at from the outside, but is surprisingly spacious and pleasant inside. We visited on a Friday lunch time and the place was busy enough with a good variety of patrons. They have up to 10 cask ale options, although a few of these were duplicates. We opted for some Windswept and Cairngorm. They have recently expanded their local bottle selection to some 30 - 40 Scottish beers from the likes of Cairngorm, Loch Lomond, Speyside and St Andrews. There were actually quite a few I hadn’t had before. As expected prices were very reasonable. A worthy stop in Inverurie.“

“You won’t be surprised to hear that this is first and foremost a whisky shop (and also that it is based in Inverurie). It is a new shop location a minute away from the train station. They offer a very nice whisky selection and have a massive array of bottles for you to sample prior to making your choice. They also have a small selection of Scottish beers from the likes of Barney, Strathbaan, Angus & Oink etc. I hear they have a plans to expand the selection in the future. Friendly service and nice shop-all round.“

“On the small main High Street in the town, I ventured into this pub on Day 2 of its life and it was very much a new plaything for the locals and packed to the rafters. There’s no outdoor space but the interior was very plush in design with a comfortable and well planned layout. The bar is to the rear of the single floor pub and sports two rows of ale pumps.“
