“Типичный по виду Английский паб. Много дерева, мало света. Выбор пива типичнейшего скуфа. Еды гораздо больше. Не очень шумно и без быдла, что уже хорошо.“

“This well-kept Fuller's pub was included in our anniversary trip revisiting our best London pubs from 2003-2006. It is still a very decent, newly renovated, Fuller's pub with well treated cask ales - we went for an ESB and a London Pride. Relaxing atmosphere early on a Tuesday afternoon. Corner place, close to the Earl Court tube station. Polite service. (Visited with Finn, 03.10.2023).“

“Pub with lots of British atmosphere. Flowers and ivy covering on the outside, and WWII (Churchill) plus general pub knickknacks on the inside. Crowded on a weeknight. Great place for atmosphere and people watching plus Thai food but beer list is not very exciting, neither for casks or craft.“

“So with the closure of the Mawson’s Arms and the fact that The Harp and The Coach & Horses don’t have a massive focus on Fullers beers I need to find somewhere to find my beloved ESB in great condition. Reader I found it and more… came here on an early Sat evening. A lot of tourists and a scattering of locals… most punters ordering neck oil but the Fullers beers are banging… as good as from the brewery or the old Mawson’s Arms. ESB perfect. London Pride… perfect. Also had Griffin IPA. Was planning to hit Royal Oak for great Harvey’s beers but stayed here.“

“Паб вполне большой и красивый, неплохая атмосфера. Хотя мест и много, как внутри так и на улице, но мест просто нереально много. Пиво если честно очень скудное, прямо классический выбор и плюс какие то дико горькие ипы. Только из за атмосферы, биргикам будет скучно.“

“Great tap list but very much a gastropub in the evenings so if you haven’t booked a table it can be almost impossible to find even standing space if you just want a drink. (Visited 12 October 2019).“

“Large supermarket on an eco and organic theme. My wife's into the whole eco/ raw food movement, and we both love trying new foods, so I've been to quite a lot of shops of this, but this was the best by some margin. In the basement it's predominantly cans, packets, etc, along with fruit and veg. The ground floor is mainly fresh foods, but does also have the beer selection. Upstairs apparently it's restaurants, although I haven't been up there. Foodwise, this really is a place of wonder; there's so many new and exciting things to try, and the quality of the fresh goods is exceptional. The food prices are rather terrifying, but I guess it's in one of the more affluent bits of an already expensive city, and you are getting superb choice and quality in return. Beerwise there's about 80-odd beers of the craft beer persuasion; local, national and international. Nothing too unusual or rare, obviously, but I hadn't tried the majority of them. Service seems friendly enough. All in all, it's a place that's good enough that we've returned a couple of times already, and will do in future if we're in the area.“

“Really popular pub close to the Notting Hill Gate tube station. Absolutely chokka on a Friday evening. The beer range is really quite restricted being mostly from the Fullers stable. The Thai food is excellent.“

“Visited July 2019. Easy to find, rather spacy pub. Lots of seatings. Nice selection of beers both on cask and kegs as in the fridge... beers served in good condition with a smile. Friendly staff. Nice food menu as well, we didn't eat, but what others were eating, it looked very nice..“

“Third time here this year. Great venue, IMHO. Lots of space, natural light, airy, fun. Get there early to get a table in the foreign beers area and you are set. Three great, fun-filled days in 2019 with a large group of RB friends, though fewer than in previous years.“

“New people running this pub. 5 casks and 12 kegs mostly craft. No Guiness, O'Haras Irish Stout instead! The house Pilsner is brewed by Bedlam of Sussex. Unfortunately the old Hansom Cab that used to hang from the ceiling is gone, however the beer choice and quality has rocketed! Food looked very expensive on the menu. Their website says they are a sister pub to the Old Red Cow (Smithfield), the Dean Swift (SE1) and the Hack&Hop (Whitefriars).“

“Corner pub with a lovely enclosed garden area to the rear, the wood heavy panelled interior with defined areas around a central service area is a fine place to frequent as well, with a mix of cask and crafted keg options that make a visit here worthwhile enough.“

“Square corner pub just up from Holland Park tube station, bustling on a Sunday afternoon when I visited, including the outdoor areas. The rotund service area upon immediately doesn't have a wonderful selection of beers (think regulars from Camden Town & Brewdog), but this is a food pub so if you are eating here something might suffice to go with your meal, but coming here just for the brews will prove a disappointment. It's a nice enough venue though.“

“Just one block behind the busy road passing Notting Hill Gate, and the difference in pace of life couldn't be more different. This middle terrace suburban pub is a lovely place to drink in, and one of the tables either side of its central entrance is a great place to sup if the weather allows. The bar is immediately upon you as you enter, but little has changed since the last review in 2014, it still only offers three cask ales, and these are still often seen ones up and down the country.“

“On the cusp of the north-western edge of Hyde Park, on the opposite side of the main road, this is a corner pub has a square interior ground floor with the bar on the left-hand side wall just after the entrance on this side. Has a cafe bar styling, quite nice, serves food, and is a keg ale venue, once past the Camden Town regulars the sourcing for the rest is pretty decent. Although it is not advertised I asked for a third measure and got.“

“I stopped by after looking for a place close to the Victoria and Albert Museum serving cask ale. Service was excellent. There were four house ales on cask as well as five rotating cask ales. Some of the "coming soon" ales looked very appealing. Had one solid beer (Flying the Mags) and two that were so so. Beer was served well and in clean glassware. My impressions of the ale were mainly due to my personal preference and the quality of the ale itself, not the publican's service. Did enjoy a very fresh cask ale after the gentleman serving the bar had thoroughly cleaned the pump and changed the prior cask. Also, enjoyed the food menu which seemed to hit the usual suspects with a little twist. The atmosphere is more updated than quaint. Overall there was a pleasant buzz of activity when I was there around 1 PM. Also, the public WiFi was reliable allowing me to do a little work and post this review.“

“Corner pub, very traditional in style cosy and carpeted, but with a lot of interesting clutter, mostly hanging down from the ceiling including chamber pots, miners lamps and World War II memorabilia amongst the densely packed artefacts. There's a restaurant towards the rear, a small outdoor area, although quite few people were standing up outside on the side road length of the building. The bar serves mainly Fuller's ales in both cask and keg with a guest cask available when I visited.“

“Rare place that you have to visit. The outside is off course first blood. Flower in the summer and Christmas three during winter. And not just one….
The inside is also weird. Strange mix between a traditional English pub, museum and a Thai restaurant.
The museum is in the roof, nice Fullers selection at the bar (beers in good condition) and a Thai restaurant if you turn right when you enter the pub.
Very crowded at my visit on a Friday evening.“

“Stopped in here while cruising through Earl's Court, as it was time for some dinner. I jumped the gun and ordered one of the Meantime drafts, missing the bottle list completely. Good menu, nice plate of bangers and mash. Quiet and cozy. And as Travlr said, check out the hand washing station in the loo.“

“I stumbled in there as it advertised itself as the oldest pub in Kensington. The selection is mediocre and the service is not too helpful in regards to recommendations. The bar itself however is quite nice in a typical British pub style.“

“There were three pubs within hobbling distance of my hotel on a recent business trip to London; this one ended up being my favorite. Although they're obviously tilted to the Fuller's brands, they also had a few other local offerings. Compared to the other nearby venues, Hereford Arms offered the most traditional pub feel, outstanding food and great service.“

“I've been to 4 days of this festival for so many years, I've given up trying to remember. The ticket price for a season ticket is ridiculously low compared with any other similar event. The UK cask selection is safe but there is always plenty to get through including the brewery bars plus cider, perry and meads. The big draw for me though is the non UK beer from Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Czech, in particular the USA casks and bottles /cans. Great selection, and the take away bottles and cans are always such good value. Love this festival.“

“On a busy corner amidst South Kensington's hustle and bustle. On a temperate summer evening, with the doors open, it had a near open-air feel. Several folks stood outside although there's not really a patio, just a little side rail on the sidewalk. The staff was attentive and friendly. Decent selection of local and regional beers, enough to entertain a beer hunter. Standard British pub fare -- fish and chips was nice breaded and well prepared.“

“Nice, more-or-less traditional London pub, not far from the South Kensington touristy-areas. The small patio was crammed with young socialites from 5:30 - 10. There's a small dining room in the back, or you can eat in the pub. Decent variety of local/regional offerings both on draft and the hand pump. Upbeat, cheerful and accommodating staff. Food was slow to appear but was good, priced in the standard, high ranges for central London.“

“If you happen to walk around Hyde Park, particularly the south west section, and wonder where everyone got their large Whole Food bags with picnic supplies from it would be this Whole Foods store. Located very close to Hyde park on Kensington High Street, it feels like stepping right into a US grocery store like Trader Joes or, indeed, Whole Foods. Which is a good thing. The fact everyone around you seems to be American adds to this.

Step right on through to the rear of the store, head right and you'll be greeted by a long fridge with an interesting selection. I picked up some Whiplash, Cloudwater and a new Mexican craft brewery for me. You'll also see around a dozen other breweries including Evil Twin and Garage, plus hiding round the corner on an ambient shelf is some Belgian beer, Gosnells mead and a few Beavertown Tempus Project including Heavy Lord! Picked up a few ciders as well. Prices are decent compared to specialist beer shops. Glad I stopped off here. Also i should add for any sake-heads theres a sizeable sake selection as well.“

“I usually don't care overmuch for these sorts of touristy pubs but I have to admit this was fun. Memorabilia - Churchillian and otherwise - is as plentiful inside as the flowers are on the outside. Standard Fullers beers with no surprises, and a tiny craft bottle selection with Little Creatures and the like. The Thai food smelled fantastic (and the prices for food looked reasonable) but we didn't eat. Standard London service (i.e. just about tolerable). Good as a one-off.“

“Nice longstanding pub hidden away in the back streets of Kensington. Usually quite busy, nice feel to it, currently has about four crafty kegs, four casks and a few standard lager taps. Decent selection, last visit featured Stone and Cigar City. Good place to drink and have nice beer in the neighbourhood.“

“Located close to the Science, Natural History + V&A Museums. More or less around the corner in a backstreet. Fair amount of locals, area looked residential, not too busy but it was still a bit early on a workday. Fair services and average prices. Wallpaper looked to be from a former generation, touch old but it did not have a really old feel to it. About half a dozen of cask options which were rather interesting. Quality seemed good to me. Keg featured surprisingly basic offerings from the likes of Cigar City and Stone plus some lager rubbish. Vegan food available. I had a hamburger which was fair, seemed clearly made from scratch and featured black beans, not bad / decent solid. Average London prices. Surprisingly nice.“

“Easily accessible and bustling Greene King pub comprising of mostly uninteresting ales and lagers. The selection is poor, the staff uninterested, and the prices steeper than the average pub. The upstairs toilets reeked of old urine and had a broken water tap running at full throttle in the sink. The star seemed unresponsive when I let them know. After a few minutes I was offered to use a downstairs toilet instead, but no effort was made to fix the problem.“

“Visited on 5th January 2017. It’s a back street Fuller’s house, nice little area out the front and plenty of greenery. Nice enough bar area, décor was smart and in-keeping with the area. “Visited on 5th January 2017. Large pub on a main road in Kensington. Pretty impressive lighting out the front and quite a tardis-like interior. There’s a Thai restaurant which seemed to be exceedingly popular with the pub wedged despite a lot of seating in the place. There’s a lot of Churchill related material on the walls. Beer range supplied by Fullers was OK, it was well looked after, prices OK, service good. A nice pub but not one I’d be dashing back to.“

“Visited on 5th January 2017. Lovely quaint old pub in the back streets of Kensington, it definitely is a maze with a lot of wood panelling and nooks and crannies to relax in, it’s a collection of small rooms and corridors. Beer range is decent enough with a solid mix of cask and keg, picked up a few new beers here but nothing outstanding. Ate here and the food was a little disappointing, service was OK, prices a little steep. It’s a pub destination for the venue but the beer is probably the best in the area but nothing to head out that far for.“
