“On our way from Ribe to Copenhagen, we had good stop in Kolding, Skinyviking wanted to show me "one of the best beer pubs in Denmark'. I was not disappointed! It's a rather larger, comfortable place in the backyard of one of the main street in town, about ten minutes' walk from the train station. Brown, mahogany interiors. About 15 taps and an quite exciting canned and bottled menu, among tham many from Electrc Bear (Bath, UK) at our stay. Friendly service. (Visited with Kira and Skinnyviking 19.10.2021).“

“Large wineshop with apr. 40 beers. Møn, Åben, Svendborg, Syndikatet, Insel and Rochefort. Most interesting is "Garagen" new contract brewer from Samsø with beers brewed at Hornbeer. Ok service and prices.“

“Wine and spirit shop with an additional beer shelf. Mostly local Danish ones, some Danish top breweries, some Belgian classics and a few other foreigns. Probably the only go-to outside of opening hours of Beershoppen.“

“Small brewery in farm in the countryside between Kolding and the Highway E45. Small brewery in an old barn, small storage room and bar with 6 tap's at our visit. A few fridges with 2 or 3 different bottles for take away. Good and friendly service, fine prices and good quality of the beers. Well worth a visit. Think they have somewhat limited opening hours, so better check with Facebook before going.“

“Luckily, this bottle shop was open Wednesday 16.00-18.30 this Easter. Normally only open some hours Friday and Saturday. Small store but good beer selection. Local Danish craft beer, many from Amager, some from Mikkeller and varied selection of international craft breweries. Nice selection from Poland. Beer menu on Untappd, but I do not think it is very up to date. A small glass of craft beer was offered to the customers in the shop. Nice to have a sip of beer when browsing through the shelves. I picked 21 bottles and cans an payed 1000 DKK. But, Denmark and credit cards? Hey, we are in 2019 and this bottle shop is cash only! Well, just some minutes walk to the nearest ATM, but annoying anyway. No receipt with names and prices and no price tags on the bottles either. Jesus.... (Visited April 17th 2019)“

“This is the only pub in Kolding worth visiting for beer geeks. But, do not worry, this is a great pub! Situated in an alley (Passagen) facing a small open square with lots of seating. As the name implies, this is a English styled football pub. Many English beers on tap but also some from the local brewery, Åben. Lots of bottles and cans in fridges, many they import themselves. Good selection from Canadian "Flying Monkeys" and brewery of the month was Brazilian "Amazon Beer" 7 different bottles at a price of 35 Danish kroner. A great deal, I regret I did not buy some to take home. Very friendly service, free tasters and a pint on the house since a glass door in a cabinet near me exploded when one of the staff looked the door with a key. It did not cause any harm to me, but they insisted to offer me a free beer from tap. Great service! I bought a bottle to go: "Flying Monkeys Invictus Barrel Aged" 195 DKK for 47,3 cl/1 US pint, 18,4 %. For me, a bargain. (Visited April 17th 2019)“

“The brewery is at a farm not far from Kolding. No signs along the road leading to the brewery but not very hard to find by car. From the "main road", Birkemosevej, a rather rough and narrow gravel road leads down to a small creek and then up to the farm. The brewery is in the building to the right when you arrive the farm. 4 different bottles available in fridges at my visit. Some of them also available on tap. Very friendly service but they had problems with electronic payment this day. Luckily I had some cash but ended up with one bottle instead of a six pack. I was told that their bottles were available at Beershoppen in downtown Kolding. Otherwise, bottles from Åben are hard to find. I did not see any in grocery stores in the region and not even in "Kolding Vinhandel" Therefore, visiting the brewery is a must if you are in Kolding, when they are open. “A nice wine and beer store near the castle, Koldinghus. One shelf with beer to the left when you enter. I guess about 150 bottles. Many from Bøgedal but also Trolden, Grauballe and Kunstbryggeriet Far & Søn, the latter a nice surprise for me. Some decent international beers too, among those three from Westvleteren. Not many beer shops left in Kolding, you have Beershoppen that have limited opening hours. More easy to visit Kolding Vinhandel. Friendly service. (Visited April 17th 2019)“

“An overrated grocery store in my opinion. Decent beer selection but hardly more than other large supermarkeds. No beers from the new up-and-coming craft brewery in Kolding, Bryggeriet Åben. Some bottles from the local Trolden, but those beers are crap. International beers? Just ordinary stuff, some bland lagers from the Faeroe Island for country tickers. I found some ticks and did some grocery shopping before heading for our "dansommer" cabin in Hejlsminde. (Visited April 16th 2019 with my family)“

“Very impressive selection. If you can manage to get to the shop within the very restricted opening hours you will be amazed. Shelves, tables and floor are stacked with good quality beers. Old vintage stuff, sours, imp stouts and other rareties from all over the world are hidden among all the other craft beers. Very helpful owner of the shop, and reasonable/cheap prices. It felt like a hidden gem that only the good guys knew about (before i write this review) and not a place where the normal beer guy comes in and buy only the whales and leave nothing for the next persons. There is no parking right outside the store, but there is a lot across the road 50-100m away. Bring cash since they do not accept visa“

“My second visit. First was a crowded Saturday, this was a Tuesday afternoon. Dark room with a lot of sports memorabilia. Very good selection of hard to find beers (in Denmark). No longer serves food. You can have beers to go if you ask nicely. Nice staff but NOT your average knowledgeable beer geek.“

“Large selection of beers especially from Denmark, Belgium, USA and Great Britain. Something for everyone. A lot of beers tucked in to a very small room, makes it a great experience that will make you smile. Very friendly staff that is always willing to help you find the perfect beer for the occasion. If you are looking for something special, this is the place to go, and if they do not have it on the shelves, they are most likelyable to get it for you. Worth a visit, you will not regret it.“

“Visited on a sunny Saturday during the DØE Øllets Dag 2014. The selection is quite impressive for a supermarket in Denmark and includes various decent beers, chiefly domestic and imported from the UK. Fair but not exactly popular prices. Might want to visit again.“

“Edit: Selection have decreased considerably over the last few years. Still very good for a supermarket, though. Supermarket. Two places in Kolding - not always the same selection - the Galgebjerg one is often the top priority. A fair selection of Danish micros, some Belgians and English. Fair prices. For a city without any major bottle shops, it’s actually quite nice, and do seem to find some brews that are not usually available in supermarkets.“

“Small shop with an impressive amount of bottles. They claim to have about 600 bottles on the shelves, at the table and on the floor. The staff is frindely and has a good knowledge of beer. Prices are fair. I am quite impressed by their selection although it is a bit confusing the system they are organised by.“

“They had about 40 Micros when I was there from mainly local Breweries. No real knowledge about the beer but great knowledge about the wine in the shop. Well its a wine bottle shop so no surprise. I will visit Again in some time and hopefully te selection is better.“

“Tiny shop covered with beers, also on the floor. Dedicated salesperson, who found one one my wish-list. I added a few extras. Lots of local Danish special and micro brews. YNWA! Revisited, june2018, the other salesperson also superfriendly. Latest: Visited again july2022, on Gråbrødregade 13, 6000 Kolding DK. Still huge selection of micro brews, danish and imports. Again I bought loads of news. Google says opening hours are: tu 14-18, w-th 11-18, f 11-19, sa 10-15, su-mo closed. Absolutely recommended beerspot. Bring a traler :)“

“The friendly K.V.Frandsen opened already 09.30 Saturday morning. Website claims they have 225 beers. I found 5, though none from my special wish list. Very nice to be there early a Saturday morning, and according to the bong, it was 04:57 ... maybe Brazilian time?“

“Great cellarshop. Tons of beers, many from Torben Mathwes own import, so many only availeble here. Found welsh ciders, hungarian microes and lots of Danish microes. Many English and scottish beers, but I had hoped for more rare ones in thei area. Very frindly and knowingly staff. I will bbe back. I think I saw some St Peters I havent rated....“

“I generally avoid rating supermarkets, but in this case I will make an exception. The place has a very decent selection, including, among other things, beers from Ugly Duck and the locally made Trolden. Nice to visit when shopping for groceries as such but perhaps not worth a major travel project.“

“Located off the busy town centre, this cozy, tiny bottle store offers the visitor an opportunity to buy some decent beer tontale away when one is in town. The selection consists chiefly of decent American, German, British, Belgian and Danish beers. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The only major drawback is the fact that noncredit cards are accepted. So, remember to have cash with you - enough of it, as the prices are not exactly popular. All in all, a good place. I will definitely drop by again net time I am in Kolding.“

“Located in a cozy pedestrian lane in the heart of Kolding, this decent place is definitely what comes closest to a real English pub in the south of Denmark. Traditional wooden furniture, good old English music (Pink Floyd, Queen), very friendly and reasonably knowledgeable staff, good atmosphere. The selection of taps is acceptable, with both decent things like Moor Happiness and cheap stuff, but the choice of bottles is simply extraordinary. No flights. Quite pricey but nice.“

Beer selection is good, with a lot of specialty beer. Selection also change every once in a while. I think you can get food/snacks delivered from the adjacent Café, at least I saw someone eating nachos there once..“
