“Visited the hotel while on holiday. The hotel has the brewery behind and when I was there had 4 of their beers on tap. The bar was made up of 3-4 small room and had a roaring fire in the cold day. Nice place and worth a visit for their own beers.“

“All 4 beers on tap but not much else. Good whisky selection. Food is also pretty tasty and it’s a scenic location.“

“2014-07-06. Lovely old dark wood bar, cheeky barflies at the bar chatting nonstop with the friendly bartender. Food is good, venison Braveheart is quite tasty but a bit tough. Steak Ale stew with a side of pastry masquerading as a pie. The patio looks nice but was very full today. 4 of their own casks, 8 draft taps. Worth a stop to try their own beers which range from dull to fairly tasty. “

“In a beautiful white-washed building, this country hotel and brewpub is up the hill from Pitlochry’s main drag facing a lovely church. There’s a few car parking spaces between the two and entrance to the pub and hotel is via a small and pretty courtyard area created by the two sides of the building - in here are some outdoor tables. The pub part is at times far too small for the amount of people coming here, especially during dining hours when you may have to wait, however it has a lovely traditional older world charm to it with small tables and plenty of small stools. The pub serves the on-site brewery ales and there’s plenty of choice.“

“A very traditional touristy Scottish country hotel with bar and brewery attached. Very pretty cosy environment and the food is good. 4 of their own beers on hand pump and 4 Belhaven kegs. Helpful service and reasonable prices. Pity the beer isn’t better but still worth stopping off at if you are travelling up the A9.“

“Only ever visited during the daytime, so difficult to review objectively, but mainly a foody sort of outlet, with all the cask ales from the attached brewery.“

“Good ambiance. Can be fully packed. Had the opportunity to randomly enter the brewery opposite of the hotel and talk to some people there. Very friendly indeed! Moulin is friendly too, food is so far pretty good as I have been there several times. Beers are well kept and spot on, no surprise if the brewery is just over the road. Prices can be a bit steep but then again Pitlochry is another tourist trap so no surprise here, still sad. Overall enjoyable and tasty though.“

“Centuries old building with its own microbrewery beers. Although the beers were generally on the sweet side this seemed to suit the rich food. Definitely worth a visit.“

“Moulin beers on tap, plus the usual keg stuff you’d want to avoid. After a day hill walking their substantial pub meals plus a roaring fire make for a good ending to a tiring day out.“

“5 of their own ales and 8 keg taps (couple of Tennants beer, Guinness, etc). Main platters between £8-16. Hearty, Scottish fare. Prices might be a little high for normal pub meals but the food here is excellent and very filing and adequate portion sizes so i think it is great value for money. Fire place gives it a great athmosphere. Often crowded but family friendly and allow pets. their own beer is okay. see ratings.“

“Visited with my girlfriend for some dinner. Nice pub with a separate bar and dining area, lots of dark wood. Staff is attentive, own beers are nice, had a lovely shepherd’s pie made with beer, the prawn salad is not recommended though. Nice for a visit when you’re in the area, Pitlochry has some beautiful surroundings.“

“Nice terrace and cozy bar. Has all the Moulin on tap and some more. Had a rasberry crumple. Go to the brewery at the back of the hotel and have a chat with the brewer - very friendly.“

“Nice place, cozy, traditional; all their own brews are on tap; plus the inevitable macro-fizz....; the quality of their meals is far above average. Good for a stop, if You want to visit Blair (not Tony’s...) Castle !“

“Excellent place, with its own brewery and the only Bar Billiards table in Scotland! (well in the pubs I’ve been to anyway). 2 wood burning fires. Food is good. You will find the usual Haggis, Salmon and so on, but its well prepared and the beer is used in some dishes. The Brewery is in a separate building out the back. Accommodation is fairly cheap for a hotel of this type, but is quite basic.“
