72 /100 Café du Belvédère (Bar) GRAND-RUE 36 A correct place with currently 8 beers on tap and 22 in bottles and with a perfect view to the old town from its terrace |
76 /100 Les Trentenaires (Restaurant) RUE DE LAUSANNE 87 Nice place with a good selection of Baladin, some regional Swiss micros and some international beers |
66 /100 Les Trentenaires (Restaurant) RUE DE LAUSANNE 87 Mostly Amstein portfolio, so not a lot of new stuff to the people used to craft beer available in Switzerland. However, some Baladin and local Fribourg beers added to the mix. Good food. Good service. Nice place all in all and the first of its kind in Fribourg |
76 /100 Les Trentenaires (Restaurant) RUE DE LAUSANNE 87 Opened 17/11-2014, linked to Teo Musso of Baladin (IT). They have maybe 8-10 Baladin beers (on tap as well), and maybe 50 different bottles of local Fribourg, BFM and foreign beers. On a late Friday night it was more like a bar than a restaurant. Good atmosphere, good selection, and definitely going back again to sample more of their beers. |
58 /100 RUE DE LA SAMARITAINE 19 A tiny brewery located in in a very old part of the town. Opened only on Satruday. Very friendly brewers. |
70 /100 Café du Belvédère (Bar) GRAND-RUE 36 Nice old building in the old town. Best part is the terrace at the back with a very nice view over lower Fribourg - especially nice in the summer. They have some Fribourg beers and an OK international selection. My favourite beer place in Fribourg. |
56 /100 IMPASSE DE LA SOUS-STATION 3 The summer Beer Garden (L’abbatoir) was ok, though didn’t try the food. Pretty busy right before an ice hockey match at least! Since it is all outside I’m not sure I would go there on a rainy day. Generally drop by just to stock up on the beers from the brewery itself, and prices are good. They usually have Le Patriote and Franziskus in stock, and then 1-2 seasonal beers. There have been cases where they have little in stock - good for the brewery I guess, bad for customers who drop by. |
40 /100 IMPASSE DE LA SOUS-STATION 3 The brewery is set in an ex slaughterhouse, big modernistic block of concrete; in the summer they set some tables outside and it’s possible to get some food (sausages, bretzel that I found bad) and 3 beers on tap. Usually it’s possible to buy the bottles away (their classic 1 liter growler). Apart from the simplicity of the biergarten (which is on asphalt and not a garden), I wish they had more beers available on tap, and more to sell (there was none when I went). |
