“Actually this review is about Kelley's on Cerrillos in Santa Fe. Visited this store and was surprised by the amount of beers they carry. Very friendly staff who was willing to break 6-pack open to sell me just the one beer(s) I was looking for. Bought quite a view.“

“This place is directly across the street from The Plaza, so it's better to park on a nearby sidestreet. Sunny sidewalk patio out front. Inside is darker with a central bar and bar and restaurant. A dozen beers on offer, flights of four possible, but none of the one-offs or small batches that you occasionally find at the brewery. Beer was just OK. Food was decent enough - Sunday brunch when I stopped by.“

“Very much an old school place. Looks like a former light industrial building. Long skinnyb taproom. Outdoor covered booths. Flights of four possible, nothing really interesting. I didn't see any food. Best skipped.“

“Pretty big place, a bit north of Mesilla, which is worth a look since ou're nearby. Large parking area. Inside is mainly a restaurant, outdoors area was smalle but had cozy booths. Waiter prided himself on memorizing people's orders, then proceeded to get every order wrong on the eight-person table next to me. Food was decent enough pub grub. Beers were midling but OK. Unremarkable.“

“stumbled into this place in the middle of a stein-holding contest during Oktoberfest, so it was pretty crowded, but I still got a seat at the bar. Locals/regulars immediately engaged m in conversation, a very positive sign for a brewery taproom imho. Looks like a former light industrial space, (duh - ice manufacturing, I'm an idiot) - the former loading dock is now a very nice covered outdoor space, and that space spilled into the parking lot. The inside is spacious, and intimately connected to the brewhouse, my favorite taproom set-up. Extensive list of beers, mostly German style, and the ones I had were tasty. They normally do their own food, but there was a braturst and pretzel food truck today just for the ocasion. A very worthwhile stop.“

“A redone space on the rim of Las Cruces, this place may seem off-putting to out-of-town travelers. Icebox isn't exactly a great name for the area, and the visual appeal of the place doesn't scream beer geek. But the shiny brewhouse is a beacon. And lo and behold, the service is amazing and the beers were all above average if not excellent. They have food, but we didn't eat. Pretty "middle America," but by far the best brewery I found in my short exposure to Las Cruces. They have two other locations in town, too ... Go visit them all! Brewery #969.“

“Right in the central part of old Las Cruces, this is a pretty underwhelming blue collar place. Friendly folks, but unfortunately REALLY BAD beers. All four of us left at least half our pint behind. Brewery #969.“

“Given my very limited exposure to Las Cruces, take my comments for granted. But that said, I was impressed by this little place in a relatively small, semi-remote (yet growing) town. There's a full wall of cold beer (nothing shelved warm BTW). There's a handful of singles, mostly imports (an impressive array for semi-rural America). There's several tiers of local/regional craft offerings in 6- or 4-packs, too. Prices were very reasonable. Thanks to my fellow RB'ers for entering it, because even my local friends thought they could only find beers in Walmart or Albertsons. We got some good finds for a couple days in SW New Mexico. Rating inflation due to location, maybe, but pretty good either way.“

“Previous reviewers must have been commenting on the small tap room located next door to (but with the same address) as the larger public house that serves excellent food. The draft menu is the same at both and you can buy food to go at the public house and consume it at the tap room. To me it makes no sense to have both, but we enjoyed our stop. The server was super friendly and the place was very quiet, because it was Easter Sunday.“

“Roomy interior is inviting, and divided to provide intimacy in some places (Sure would have appreciated some wi-fi, though.) Servers are prompt, cheerful and helpful - you feel welcome and valued. Food is tasty and well-prepared - come for brunch! They have some healthful offerings along with all the grease-laden ones.“

“Quirky brewpub with excellent beer and a helpful, knowledgeable staff. My main gripe is that no food is available--who ever heard of a brewpub without food?“

“This just opened up a few months ago but i have been too busy to add this. For those traveling on the I-10 corridor, This is definitely a place to stop. This has become one of the best NM breweries and they have opened this taproom in Las Cruces. This was formerly owned by Mimbres valley brewing, which went belly up in 2013. The ambiance here is more of a college crowd however, in the off season, its full of locals. Small tap room that probably only fits about 50 people or so. Prices are very good and they do growlers.“

“Strip mall location with a surprisingly nice selection. They have a large cooler of 12oz bottle/can singles that you can build a sixer with for about $9. They probably had 10-12 NM beers in there. Plus they have tons of larger format bottles and your typical 4/6/12... packs in coolers. Friendly staff and a good stop near the crossroads of I-10 and I-25.“

“This was a nice stop along our move from MD to CA and has a nice selection of mostly NM beers but also includes TX and AZ. There is a NM wine area with several ciders and a port. Nice staff that carried my box outside.“

“The best place to get good beer in Las Cruces. THis place just opened up recently and is much better than the competition in town. for those wanting LaCumbre beers, they have them. If your coming through town stop here and stock up on LaCumbre.“

“Cool spot in Las Cruces, visited here on business and enjoyed it. I had the sampler of darks and lights.. the Chili beer was very nice, not too hot and the Pecan Beer was very rich, id go back just for that beer.“

“ok so i dont hate this place, but i dont see it being a very good beer place. Lots of macro crap on tap with a few notworthy micros. I do enjoy their food and friendly service however, you will never catch me dead during football season here. Its the Southern NM Steelers hangout. and i HATE the steelers! always have sierra nevada, deschutes and some other regionals on tap. nothing special yet decent if your in town for a good lunch.“

“There was some things that put me off about De La Vega’s - it was rather stuffy for a microbrew and the staff seemed less than excited about the beer they had on tap. But staff was efficient (more like what you expect at a black tie restaurant than a bar and grill) and the food was excellent. Nothing on tap but their own brew but enough there to last the evening. A little pricey. “

“Ok so here you have it-the best sports bar or for that matter, beer bar in las cruces. I just kind of re-acquanted with this place. Its nearby the local University which is sometimes a crowd that is to be desired. WIth that said, this place has awesome food, great service, a very solid beer selection including Stone, Deschutes, Sierra Nevada, Full Sail and also offers many taps that no other bars in the city offer (sierra nevada celebration, which i have come back for many times). The food is pub grub but very solid. the waitress’ are very attractive and very friendly. Its kind of hard to find if you dont know the town very well-located behind a major strip mall so its hidden.“

“In the "mall" area of Las Cruces, it’s easy to write a place off. I was apprehensive about coming here, but couldn’t turn down the chance at a New Mexico brewpub that I had never been to. And, yes, they do brew their own beers. If fact, everyone on tap is theirs. They have the crap on bottles though, and they do have a full bar to give those who have to have a cocktail at a brewpub their fix. This is not a cheap place by means of their beer, their food or by Las Cruces standards. Food runs $12+ and beers are $4-5 per pint, with sampler trays running about $1.50 per sampler. We tried everything and, to be completely frank I was incredibly skeptical (I love High Desert across town) but they actually brew some damn good beer here. I can recall not liking everything, but I can recall distinctly liking a number of them. They also do some interesting styles: not just standard amber, lager, etc. But I guess that’s what you can do when you have that many taps open to just your beers. The food was excellent. Honestly, although Las Cruces is a laid back town, they needed a slightly more upscale, non-chain place like this. And, yes, they look and feel like a chain, but they’re independently-owned, so please support them.“

“Good bar and grill layout. The wait staff was very prompt and helpful, although not very knowledgeable. The selection is terrible, with mostly macrobrews, and only a couple common craft beers. The food is fair. The prices are very reasonable. Overall, this isn’t the place for good beer, but they have a couple interesting picks.“

“Upscale grocery store, with a huge wine section and a couple of coolers for beer. There was no help with the beer. The selection was meager, but I was looking for local beers, and there was no shortage. The prices were very good. For a grocery store, not bad. Also one of the few places I could find in Las Cruces that sells beer.“

“ok, this has become my go-to place in Las Cruces. THey usually get all new releases before anybody does in the city. So, i call that great service. plus, they will order you anything available in the state. Has lost of west coast micros and specializes in NM beers. Prices vary, but are somewhat steep. Worth going to if your ever in the area.“

“Despite some early not-so-positive reviews, this place is a diamond in the rough. More of a restaurant atmosphere, this is a very large brewpub complete with a huge bar, dining area, lounge area, and patio area (I sat in the dining area, which was very nice). Very beautiful paintings on the wall (including an awesome mural of workers picking pecans from pecan trees) and even the bathrooms are very nice. The beer menu offers some adventurous selections (including a pecan ale and a green chile ale) plus your regulars. They may not be brewed on premises, but they sure are tasty! The food menu is also extensive and for a place that serves high quality food in such a nice restaurant, it is also really cheap! Based on other reviews, I thought this would be a quick stop for a tick and some good food, but it actually turned out to be a really good brewpub. I will go back if I can.“

“A somewhat dimly lit, spacious, elegantly decorated interior, which, while not bustling, still seemed pleasantly quieter than you would expect for the amount of patrons. Twelve beers on tap, which included a very pecan-y pecan beer and a mild green chile beer in addition to brewpub standards and even a 5.5% Belgian brown. $3.50/pint for most. Service was honest that the chile beer was more of a novelty than something you’d want to consume much of, and was perfectly attentive and pleasant otherwise. I only tried one of the brewpub standards, the stout, but found it quite tasty, along with the novelties. Food menu was innovative, using a lot of the standard NM ingredients in unique ways. Quality of the food was also very good, all very fresh product, and I found the prices to be more than reasonable. A very pleasant surprise.“

“Went here with a group for dinner, and we were very disappointed. The food was fair, at best, and overpriced, and the service was awful. The beer selection was bland, and the beer itself was mediocre.“

“Just to let everybody know, the beer here is brewed by Sierra Blanca in Morarity and shipped down however, they are using recipe’s that are their own. beer is average at best but the food is pretty good. A little sterle in terms of its ambience-very contemporary and kind of lifeless. lots of good "scenery" though-the waitresses wear very short skirts and stiletto heals-cant go wrong with the eye candy!“
