Brewed at double strength, this beer has been aged for one year in 11-year Old Fitzgerald Wheated Bourbon barrels, adding a new dimension to DBA's timeless flavors of caramel and toffee. UPDATED: APR 7, 2024 A dark brown beer, a head is quite small and beige. Aroma has caramel maltyness, some dried fruitness of raisin, also barrel, vanilla. Taste has dried fruitness, raisin, dates, caramel, light barrel. Medium+ bodied. Complex and balanced. Very good.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2024 It pours cooper with a bit of clouding. It has an off white head that has low head retention. There are strong nut and toffee aromas up front with bourbon. There are some caramel notes and light dark fruit notes. It has strong bourbon notes with toffee. It has a bit of a sugary edge to it. There are some nut notes with caramel. The dark fruits are a little more pronounce and raisin like. It has a full and somewhat chewy body with strong alcohol warming. Overall, good flavors and aromas with strong alcohol. Another great strong beer by Firestone Walker.

Flavour is rich, with lots of butterscotch, plenty of bourbon barrels, some vanillin, and bready toffee. Lots of bourbon, butterscotch and bready toffee that mixes well. Excellent.
