Zlotta (9018) - Hagen, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2024
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2024 0.473 l can from 'Bierloods22'. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, quickly diminishing, brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, rather roasty aroma of lots of coffee, praline, roasted hazelnut and hints of vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty-bitter taste of massive coffee, praline, roasted hazelnut and some vanilla, followed by a medium long, fairly roasty-bitter finish. Full body, very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Massive beer, quite sweet but with enough roast to even it out, superb mouthfeel.

chinhaez (428) - Ouray CO, Colorado, USA - MAR 23, 2024
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2024 Pint Can. Pour an opaque dark brown color with medium sized brown head that has good retention. The aroma is quite strong with coffee and espresso. The taste follows the nose with a coffee that is balanced nicely by vanilla cream giving it a mocha latte type of effect. The palate is full and creamy with soft carbonation. Finishes long with lingering coffee. Overall: Decent--The good folks at Perennial know how to make a top tier coffee stout. Paired well with a smoked gouda.
