Strong beer – Natakhtari Extra stands out with its high alcohol volume, which is reached by different proportion of ingredients. Namely, increased proportion of malt is reason of high alcohol and sharp aroma. 17.2°

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2024 0,5 boks på kafe etter tur opp til grottebyen Uplistsikhe: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Mye maltsmak, litt urter, citrus og furunål. Den virket.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2019 Bought a can of this at a stall in Tbilisi while buying a large imeruli khachapuri (cheese bread), so that was about a 1000 calories to begin with. Didn't realise how strong it was until I looked at the can halfway through drinking. The can appearance is now slightly different from the one pictured here. Tasted lovely chilled, very little aroma, pale in colour, light taste and very impressive. If we had it in the UK, I'd be in trouble.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Stas. Clear golden. Apples, a bit of honey, cardboard, alcohol, sweet, weird papery mouthfeel. Bad.

Not bad at all--less obviously boozy than the Turkish strong beers, it’s crisp and refreshing, with a solid white head and slight apple notes. Would have again (16.9 oz can, Tbilisi)

Can 500ml (Tbilisi). Golden colour, small white head. Sweetish, honeyish, green apple aroma. Light-bodied. Sweetish green apple and booze in the flavour. Low bitterness. Boozer.

500ml can. Pours clear gold with a very tall and long lasting white head. Aroma is grainy, alcohol, sweetish, quite weak. Taste is sticky sweet malt, low bitterness, light alcohol. Almost flat. This was better than expected.

BBHansen (3054) - Køge, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2016
Can @ Georgia. Appearance: pours clear yellow with massive soapy white head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, alcohol, straw and sugar notes. palette: light sweet malty aroma, average carbonation, medium body, medium to notable sweetness, unbalanced by a light bitterness, average duration and a watery texture. Overall: alcoholic and sweet -not my kind of thing
